I came through St Louis, MO & stayed overnight while traveling and visited this shop. It was one of THE BEST Resale shops I have ever been in. I bought a large bag of Plus size items of high caliber and some Brighton shoes and a few nice belts...They carried great accessories. My friend also purchased a bag full of size 8-10 and we were treated like queens. Super stuff at a GREAT savings. Wish I lived nearby! more

I was growing quite fond of this place until my experience this weekend. I'd dropped off items (as I usually do) only to find that months later, the manager had not even put my items out on the floor for sale. NO ONE bothered to call me and when I showed up with new items (expecting a check for the things that had been there) she handed me my items from the back room as if they were garbage. There were customers in the store and it was quite a humiliating experience. She offered NO explanation as to why she could not take my items and when asked made up an excuse that my Izod leather jacket (only worn twice) was damaged but could not show any evidence to back up her claim. Then she offered me $12 for a faux leather jacket which she didn't even realize was not real leather! How can a person that runs a ""high end"" consignment shop not tell the difference between real and faux leather? What a fraud. I would not allow this lady to sell anything to me or for me ever again! She treats her customers, clients, and their clothing like trash! more

This is a wonderful store. I went the other day and I was very pleased with the wide selection of brand name clothes that were available fo purchase. The prices were reasonable as well. more

Excellente!! 3/26/2010

I have had nothing but wonderful experiences at Back on the Rack. Joanne the owner is a doll as well as the other associates who work there. They are always so kind and courteous. They are more than happy to help you put outfits together. I shop there regularly. If you have never been I think you should try it. I have some of the most beautiful clothing from this store. Thanks Joanne for running a great business!!! Pros: Great service, love the owner, great clothing! Cons: I wish she was closer to my home more

Great Store 6/23/2008

This is a great store. I purchase most of all my clothes here. They have high end brands at great prices. The layout of the store is very easy to navigate around and the sales staff is very nice and helpful. This store was voted 'The Best Resale Consignment Store' in St Louis in 2008. You don't get voted number one without doing something right. Keep up the good work... :-) Pros: Great Location, Helpful Sales Staff, Great Prices, Name Brand Merchandise, In Style Designs more

Poor Service 5/2/2008

I was not impressed. Very ""older lady"" clothes. The woman who was running the store just really rubbed me the wrong way. They are still ""hand-me-down"" clothes. It is NOT Neiman Marcus, so attitude is not appropriate there. Pros: Less than retail price, but about the same if you looked for sales in the regualr name-brand stores Cons: Poor attitude by the woman running the store that day. Clothes are mostly for older women. more

Nice merchandise but don't recommend for consignment. 2/25/2008

I took in several very high end formal attire/holiday gowns around Thanksgiving time. These are dresses or outfits that cost in the $200 range when purchased, mostly Talbots. Three sold and my cut was $16.00! They will not provide you with any specifics on which items sold and for how much even though when you purchase something, they do write up a receipt with that information on it. I believe that I was cheated whether it was intentional or not. They have some very nice items for sale and their prices are pretty reasonable, but certainly not as low as my items would have had to sell for. I won't be returning to this store. more
