Back Home In Lahaina

Was very surprised one day finding yet another Hawaiian food establishment locally and found the service and food great. In the afternoon. Not the evenings. Second time back, after 8:00pm, there was only one waitress doing the work of three. Although there were other employees around no one helped and acted like a party was on. Young adults acting like 12 year olds. The second visit was absolutely disgraceful. Walked in, approach by again young staff members with discust and contempt boldly being displayed. Once seated we were told that they were closing early because of a slow day overall. After our orders were taken it was more than apparent to us that this is not the place to enjoy a dinner at. So we requested to have our dinners to go instead and once received got out as quick as possible. Now here is the worst part, as if it can't get any worse than that. When we made it home we found that even though we were the only ones that ordered dinner at that resturant, ""their were only one other couple and they looked to be done with their meals"", they messed up the order. Both dinners not what we asked for.. Is that an accident or contempt on their part. You readers decide. Pros: Food can be good when the right staff is on. Cons: Poor staffing schedules and major attitudes at times. more

Back Home in Lahaina is an incredible restaurant. Amazing island themed place by the beach that will keep you intrigued not just by the delicious food. This restaurant also provides a bar w/sports tv's for those of you sports fans. The working staff is definitely friendly & helpful, and the island local food will have you coming back for more. Some foods to mention: Lahaina fried chicken, kalbi short ribs, boneless korean barbq beef, five choices of irresistable fried rices, saimin/wonton min, and many more. I don't know what they do to those things but that Lahaina fried chicken is amazing. Back Home in Lahaina is also one of the few Hawaiian restaurants that actually serve poke (cubed raw fish) that looks and tastes like poke! We just celebrated a friend's birthday there and the service was excellent. Pros: Lahaina fried chicken, Jello Cheesecake Dessert Cons: There are only 2 locations and I'm not near either of them! more
