Editorial review from Citysearch 4/3/2013

In July, 2012, I purchased a 2012 BMW 335i from this location. Not even two months later, the vehicle was in a collision and requiring repair.\r \r I brought the vehicle to German Motors Collision (same ownership) and they repaired the vehicle and upon examining the vehicle, it was flawless. There were programming issues, however, and the vehicle needed to be sent to the BMW on Howard St for reprogramming.\r \r I dropped off the vehicle here and borrowed a loaner vehicle. When I returned to pick up the vehicle and to return the loaner vehicle, I examined the vehicle to notice that the ENTIRE vehicle was buffed. The vehicle was buffed so poorly and at such a speed, that the entire paint job looked like a hologram. \r \r I notified them of this, and stated that I under no circumstances, EVER, authorized them to do this to my vehicle; it was brand new and had no need for such a service, let alone such a poor quality. They agreed to take it back and polish it.\r \r I returned to pick up the vehicle, but was only able to see it indoors. It looked better, but I couldn't see anything. It wasn't until a week later when the vehicle was dirty that I noticed these issues remained.\r \r To this day, six months later, I have called the BMW of San Francisco weekly/bi-weekly in efforts to address this. I have left Michael Greening over 10 voicemails requesting his callback - but to no avail. I have left Patrick Day just as many, but with only one call-back to my voicemail. I have asked to stay on hold for a manager, but will not be allowed. The vehicle has been detailed three times, totaling over $1000 in fees - but the damage is irreparable. \r \r The business practices here are appalling. They are avoiding my requests entirely, and will not even respond to me. more

BMW of San Francisco put 484 miles on my car during a servic 11/12/2010

Brought my new BMW (purchased not leased) to BMW of San Francisco to address some SMG error messages I had been getting. The car is returned a week later filthy inside and out, with almost no gas, and an additional 484 documented miles on the odometer. The explanation was that multiple ""test drives"" were required to diagnose the problem, including one, or possibly two, techs driving the car to and from home and over the weekend. The best I can do is warn the community. Needless to say, I don't recommend anyone going to BMW San Francisco for service of any kind. more

Bmw of San Francisco 3/15/2008

This place is a half-ass attempt at being a fancy car dealership. I'm originally from Southern California, and it seems like Crevier is the only place to go. I moved up here 4 years ago and this was the first time I brought my X5 in for service at this dealership (I usually take it to Crevier when I drive down there for the weekend). First of all, checking in was fairly simple. You stand at the podium, give the lady your name, take a seat. Fair enough. What I didn't expect, was to sit there for almost 40 minutes. I just needed to do an oil change, I had no other requests. I had to sit in the shabby lounge listening to horrible morning news, drinking what seemed like burnt coffee. When it was my turn to talk to the advisor, Chris A., he seemed rushed and didn't care what was going on. Our conversation lasted for about ten minutes and was ushered out of my seat. I then had to cram into a black minivan (their shuttle service) and was dropped off downtown. I didn't hear from Chris all day - I didn't expect to as I only had an oil change done. When I came back at 5:30pm to get the car, there was a list of recommendations by the tech on what should be down. WTF? If there were all these recommendations, he should've called me and let me know 'cause I would've authorized some of the repairs to get them out of the way. I guess that's an upsale this dealership won't be getting from me anytime soon. Kiss my butt, and car, goodbye BMW of San Francisco! I'm headed to a dealer that accepts the mighty AmEx more

Efficient Service with Good Results 9/2/2006

After having the misfortune of getting my two passenger side doors severely dented from some hoodlums foot, I have the pleasure of getting repairs done through their body shop. My poor car looked so bad when I brought it in but looked like new when they were finished! They even made sure to inspect it with me before I drove off and called me to make sure I was happy. If you have a BMW (or other car I suppose) that needs body work done, then take it to the pros here right away. Pros: Professional, Service more
