Truly the biggest scam of a dealership 12/30/2009

Don't believe me? I dare you to go on and experience it for yourself. The quotes for financed and leased cars are higher than any one else in the neighborhood. They don't let you test drive. They lead you in by giving you one quote over the phone / fax, and then once you show up, say "the manager won't let me give you this deal". Do not trust them. Do not go there. You will have a horrible experience. Mark my words. more

always a pleasure 12/30/2009

Excellent service as always, pleasure to deal with Joe Rocker and his staff.? more

Horrendous experience with BMW Sales office 10/14/2009

The sales staff are real crooks. Get quotes from other dealerships and then come to this one - you'll get the highest quote even though over the phone, they'll quote you the lowest. Their excuse -"the manager changed his mind". I played dumb and didn't say anything but they lied to me about everything. Prices of options, msrp, etc etc. Just because I am a woman, they thought they could screw me. Little did they know that I had done my research, printed all prices, and had quotes that were thousands lower for same car, same options. TOTAL CROOKS. more

B 8/18/2009

Good: NOTHING!. Bad: I leased a new 335 XI on Aug 3rd. On Aug 4th car was towed back to dealer. Engine issues and BMW wanting to re-open contract negotiations after a fully executed signed lease by their manager and myself.. Improvements: I WANT MY FUNDS RETURNED!. Other: if anyone can help or knows where i can find assistance please email me more

Unprofessional, Unethical, Dishonest 5/22/2009

I had an issue with engine oil leak and noises coming out of front tires so I dropped my bmw at BMW of Manhattan service center. Service advisor Michael Ciasco made an initial assessment and verbally promised that all reported issues will be resolved for $4100 and repair work will be done in 2 days. Never responded my emails/phone messages and 3 days later we are told that additional $1500 will be charged to fix an oil-pan which wasn't detected during initial assessment. I asked him to send detailed break down of labor/parts and he sent me an invoice which was over charged for nearly $500 and upon my inquiry he responded in very unprofessional manner. Basically he was busted lying to me on an invoice and thinks that I was stupid enough to understand invoicing. So he becomes greedy and blamed billing department that they made an error. So I visited BMW of Manhattan service center the next day to resolve my issues but Thugs will rob your money and before you realize, it will be gone!!!!! We came home empty handed with none of our problems resolved, but charged for $3800. We trusted and relied services provided by BMW of Manhattan but it was really Tragic to be treated unprofessionally by the Thugs. If the Thugs Jai and Michael are to make money out of customers with such unprofessional & unethical behaviors, I'm concerned that they would become negative role models for BMW organization. I’m not sure senior managers are aware that they do have such employees. It is a big sin to take someone’s money without really finishing what they asked for and I would not be able to sleep at night if I ever did this to someone. America has become a place where you can’t trust anyone and Thug service dealers like Jialoh becomes role models to think why you should never go to dealers. Car dealer job is most complained and most unethical job according to the statistics. I do believe one thing though that if you rob money from someone that money will never stay with you for good and somehow, someone will get back to you. more

Stay away -completely unprofessional! 4/11/2009

I went there with an appointment to test drive the 5 series, and to upgrade from my current 3 series. The sales woman, Jacqueline Chait, when I told her I couldn't make a decision on the spot today, told me to go to some other dealer for a test drive! If this is the type of customer service they give you before you buy, I can only imagine what they would do after you purchase. more

Phil D. and Mike C. of BMW Manhattan are SCAMMERS 4/2/2009

the service department at BMW of Manhattan is absolutely the worst. they do not stand behind their work and repair things without your consent AND then charge you an outrageous amount. mike and phil especially lie about what they're doing to your car and try to milk as much money out of you as possible. DO NOT, i repeat, DO NOT use BMW of Manhattan. they are absolutely the worst. crooked, dishonest and just all around bad people. save yourself the headache. i'm begging you. more

Awfull 3/4/2009

They are all jerks who rip people off. I'm still waiting for them to resolve a credit issue from over a year ago. They are all scammers! NEVER GO HERE! more

Awful service 2/19/2009

These guys have the worst service department in the world. The few times I've used them they have always taken days beyond their promises to get my car ready, and there are always ridiculous last minute charges. Do NOT use their service department. more

STAY AWAY AT ALL COSTS! 1/6/2009

AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP AT ALL COSTS! This review is being posted to make sure other buyers in NYC are aware of what a group of half-ass shady employees are representing BMW of Manhattan. Words cannot describe what a shitty experience I had this dealership on West 57th St. The totally worthless crooked sales rep I dealt with was Jacqueline. She gave me a quote, had me sign a custom order form, took my credit card for the deposit and shook my hand telling that the purchase is all set. After I left, she called me 20 minutes later and told me her manager did not let her sell the car at that price. This is AFTER I signed all contracts, agreements, etc etc etc. It was a BAIT. more

BMW of Manhattan service dept 12/15/2008

I would just like to say in BMW of Manhattans defense and the service dept, I have driven BMWs for 20 years, and I have never had a better service experience than at BMW of Manhattan, I went there before Mr. Demersky took over, and bring my car in now, and I have to say service has never been better, Phil Demersky does everything in his power to keep his customers happy and our cars in perfect shape, he is honest, and has our best interest at heart, I would recommend them if you want the best for your car! more

Worst Service Dept in the world! 10/8/2008

While the sales dept is great, the service dept at BMW of Manhattan is a constant nightmare. I've leased BMW's for years now from them and this is definitely my last. Be prepared for all the games they play, overcharging, and attitude from the ghetto cashiers. The service dept manager Phil Demersky is never any help. He's lied to me many times and does not care about customer service or doing the right thing. You're better off with another BMW dealership/service dept. Stay clear away from them! more
