B J Furniture Mart

After purchasing thousands of dollars worth of furniture from BJ's over a six month period, I concluded by buying a $2,000 bronze coffee table from them. The salesperson, Arlene assured me as to how indestructible the tables was. I could have purchased it for less money elsewhere, but wanted a retailer with a strong reputation. Anyway, months later the table began to corrode and pieces fell off as the welds corroded. On contacting the store, they were prepared to do absolutely nothing. In summation, stay away from BJ's Furniture and their parent company, CS WOO as they are simply interested in selling merchandise, but unlike most retailers, they are not prepared to stand behind what they sell!!! As an interior designer, I have never experienced a store with such poor customer service and after sales service in general. I have two more projects to complete in 2011 on the Island and most definitely will not return to this store. One is better to ship all furniture in from the mainland for far less money if not interested in a warranty! more

I have shopped all over the island and have found that while BJ is a big store their items are way overpriced when compared to a few identical items around town. Better yet they wouldn't even give me a discount when I asked for it. Bottom line I went back to a store that was able to offer me a fair and reasonable price.
