If I could rate B & G Hardwood Flooring all 10's, I would! Their pricing was very fair, their quality of work was exceptional and their professionalism was top-notch. The quality of their craftsmanship is superior. We remodeled our house and in doing so, used about 10-12 different contractors in different trades, and by far they were the very best people we worked with! I would say that if I was doing this all again, they would be the only company I'd call! Their commitment to their customer's satisfaction was top, top-notch too! I've been in construction all my life, and I'm recently retired now, so I've worked with a lot of hardwood flooring companies before, and by far, George and his team are the most professional and highly committed group I've ever worked with. If I ever need wood floors for another house, and I almost certainly will, I will certainly call. 10/10/2011

Due to my own health problems, I didn't have B & G Hardwood Flooring install the the floor, I sold my house instead. I've had other floors installed, and I was so impressed with George's knowledge of the product and his willingness to always be available on the phone at short notice. I mean, the guy answers his phone! He doesn't leave you hanging. He also has contracting experience, so he looks at a house from a very knowledgeable base of what would be right material wise. Aside from him laying the floor, as I can't comment on that, I couldn't have been more impressed with George. I have never had an experience with someone who presented themselves like he did and then they did a lousy job. I even offered to pay him for his time in coming out, but he wouldn't even take a cent, and that says a lot because there are no installers in Fort Bragg. For him to come all the way out here speaks to his service, and when I tried to pay him for taking measurement, offering me advice, and giving me an estimate he wouldn't take a penny. He didn't just send me brief estimate either, it was a big, detailed plan, even though he knew he wouldn't get a dime for it. To me, it almost seemed too good to be true, but I was there, and it was truly good. If I ever need wood floors for another house, and I almost certainly will, I will certainly call him. He's an old country guy who just wants to do the right thing for you and enjoys the process. more

Looks fine, and the price was reasonable. 9/12/2011

The home I'm renting for my business was originally built in 1937 with hardwood floors. When I turned the home into a business, I gutted walls, I removed walls, and I also removed the bottom-plates that were nailed to the hardwood floor. B & G sanded and put a finish coat on the floors and it looks 99 percent better. It looks fine, and they did it within a couple of days of my original phone call. The price was reasonable too. more

Outstanding knowledge and attention to detail. 7/12/2011

B & G Hardwood Flooring were recommended to me at the store where I bought the wood, to perform the installation. The project was to re-floor the kitchen in my home. I dealt with George, and from the beginning he was very good at communicating. He had a good memory in terms of recalling things we had discussed in our initial meeting, which was reassuring. Also, he always took initiative in terms of moving the project forward. George was very knowledgeable, and his years of experience really came through as he and his crew were working. And speaking of his crew, they exhibited a higher level of knowledge and education than I have experienced with other folks. The attention to detail was very good, and the end product looks great. This was my first time using B & G, but I would use them again in a heartbeat. They truly know what they are doing. Working with them was a positive experience from start to finish. Patrick Sams more

B & G Hardwood Flooring did a fantastic job, our floors are impeccable! 6/6/2011

We had a few bids to redo the floors in our Bed & Breakfast. B & G Hardwood Flooring came in with the lowest type of bid, so we decided to go with them. Our B&B was built in 1875, so it was a very old home. George came in and suggested a few types of flooring and measured everything. He was great to work with. They always do a perfect job. 5/10/2011

I am a general contractor, and I use B & G Hardwood Flooring as a subcontractor. They often have to do restoration work. A lot of times they have to match existing floors or try to salvage stuff that has been used for years and years. Every time they have done a job, they hit it perfectly. I have used them at least 20 different times, and there has not been a single experience where it was not a perfect job. You are not going to find anyone better than B & G Hardwood, and their price is very fair. I can't say enough about them. I am very, very tough to get a good recommendation from. It has to be good work or I will tell you how I feel about it. I don't usually give a recommendation this good, but their work is outstanding. Call them and you won't be disappointed. Deserves a 5+. Always on time, and delivers as promised. 4/13/2011

I've been working with George from B & G for ten years, and I think he deserves a 5+ at least. He's always backed everything he'd done for me. I couldn't tell you in how many homes, and these were half-million dollar homes, and he's done about fifty hardwood floors for me. George has always been on time, and he delivers the product as promised. I think we had one or two issues in all those years, and he took care of them, no questions asked. Do what they say, say what they do 3/16/2011

George and his crew are real craftsmen and have a strong attention to detail. We hired them to put it hardwood floors in our home in Marin, including some inlaid patterns that made the job a bit more complex than a standard hardwood flooring install. They finished ontime and on-budget, and the new floors have made our home really come alive. What I appreciated most about working with them is that George the owner was very upfront about the issues we'd be facing and the costs of the additional work we were requesting -- that's something unfortunately rare to find these days with contractors of any kind. more

George has an excellent company. He is a professional. I have used B&G Hardwood Flooring several time, for 3 different houses. Anytime I wanted hardwood floors I called him, and he pulled out the carpet to put in floors. He did excellent work. He gives an honest price, is professional, and does excellent work. B&G Hardwood Flooring repaired my hardwood floor. They did very good work and kept the rest of the house very clean. They cleaned up afterward and left everything in much better condition than it was when they started. I didn't have to do any clean-up at all. It was great.
