This company took my building from a previous managment that was horrible non responsive and has totally turned us around. They have been managing my building for about 1 1/2 years. Awaye just renovated the lobby, laundry room, entrance doors, landscaping and more without raising my maintenane. It is great! Arlene Waye and her staff have been great to deal with, I especially like Luis Rivera. I can not sing enough praises for Awaye Realty, my building looks fantastic and I love coming home. more

I have known Arlene of Awaye Realty for many years. she was not only very professional but also extremely involved in the sale of my home. she led me thru to entire selling process and was able to get a buyer within a week after taking on the listing. prior to that, my house was on the market for 6 months with a larger real estate company in the area and they were not able to get one single offer. she and her staff kept on top of all the details leading up to the closing and she took care of any issues that arose to make sure that the closing went smoothly. This was my first purchase with Arlene. As an experienced home buyer I appreciated Arlene's patience, diligence, negotiating skills and follow through. Working with an agency that's professional but not a chain franchise with tons of rules and regulations was a pleasure. When my mom died, Arlene was recommended by a friend of hers. Arlene had sold her $MM home. I know a number of Park Slope realtors and was going to use one of them. Arlene made an excellent and competitive presentation and was selected. She remained professional, committed and dedicated. In the post-2009 market crash, she did numerous open houses, advertising, follow ups, negotiations, etc. She returned phone calls and emails almost 24/7. Even if I wanted to, which I don't, I can't say a bad word about Arlene. Rather, let me say three good words: excellent, dedicated, and successful. more

I had a miserable time searching for an apartment, having spent months alternating between shady Craigslist ads and greedy, pushy realtors, before I met Angela. The first apartment I applied for didn't work out at the last minute, but I had already started moving. Angela went out of her way to find me an amazing apartment and even got me an unbelievable price - with no fee! That's only the start of it - even after signing a lease *the same day* that first apartment fell through, she went above and beyond to help me out whenever I needed anything. I am recommending her from now on to everyone who is looking for an apartment in Brooklyn. more

I did not seek out Awaye to help me find a new apartment, but it just so happened that I found a listing that I liked and it was being advertised by Awaye. I had been looking for a new apartment for a month so I've been dealing with many many brokers.\r \r Showed up at the listing, and the agent was about 5 mins late but she called ahead and let me know she might be a bit late. I used the 5 mins to walk around and see the neighbourhood so no big deal, but I really appreciated the fact that she called ahead with about 20 mins notice. Too many times I had been waiting outside a building and I had to call to see where the agent was.\r \r Anyways, after she showed up and I saw the apartment and all that I walked away from the experience unpressured and treated with nothing but respect. She simply asked for my opinion of the place and told me clearly what I would need to apply. There wasn't that pushy salesperson pitch of ""it will be gone tomorrow so act fast.....etc"".\r \r I did not take the apartment but the agent, Alice, has been working with my ""hard to please"" self and has been nothing but patient with me. At this point, I feel like Alice is a dear friend of mine and I can tell you sincerely that she genuinely cares about my happiness with my new home and has a true passion for what she does. She listens to everything you have to say (good and bad) and never shows even the slightest hint of frustration. It's all, ""this one not quite perfect? OK, let's try this...."" Also, she negotiates with landlords on your behalf to get you the best deal possible! And just as important as anything else, Alice is a very nice person and is awesome to spend time with.\r \r Unfortunately, at this point I still haven't found the perfect place but I know that Alice will help me find it soon. I just wish I had found her and Awaye sooner!!! With Alice I feel like I am her only or most important client and I am sure that everyone she works with must feel like that.\r \r So if you want to be treated right, and have fun while conducting your search this is definitely the way to go!\r \r I will update once I close on a new apartment more

Wow. Is Awaye realty still in business? This is one real estate company the housing crash should have taken with it.\r \r Awful company with unethical practice. Please be aware first time home buyers. THEY WILL TRY TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU by collecting application fees with no phone or email email. Turns out, the ""broker"" I worked with wasnt even licensed.\r \r I would avoid doing business with them at all cost. more

After using several property managers in the past, Awaye Realty is by far the best. They manage 8 units in Brooklyn and are doing a fantastic job. Absolutely no complaints and everything they do is above board. more

I strongly recommend this management company. I had a great experience. They are wonderful people who are genuinely concerned about what it is you are looking for. They listen to what you actually want and do their best to find it. I've heard how other realtors can be pushy not the case at all with this group. It was a pleasure working with them!! more
