My wife and I were with a friend who always talks this place up. Well, one night we were at a nearby bar and he started talking about the Avenue Grill again. We caved in and decided that we would all go. I was in typical street-wear and I was a little reluctant to trying this place out. When I peered in the window I saw a very well dressed, well mannered wait-staff, nice romantic lighting, and lots of people dressed up. I thought I would get a lot of weird looks from the wait-staff when i walked in, but it didn't happen. They treated us just like everybody else. This may have been the best service I've ever had. Our server was extremely knowledgable. He knew about every item on the menu and gave us great recommendations. Very friendly and easy to talk to. Our glasses always had water and he knew exactly when to come check on us. Very very good service - i was very impressed. The food was very delicious as well. Unfortunately I don't remember the name of the soup dish I had (never heard of it, tried it on a whim) but it had mussels, shrimp and halibut in a tomato based soup with herbs and spices. It was nothing short of amazing. Everyone else loved their dinner as well. My wife had a chicken salad, which was really good. Our friend Jason had a spicy asian noodle dish, that was especially amazing. For an appetizer we had Rockefeller Oysters which were out of this world. This isn't a cheap place to eat, but all things considered it's a great value. Ah yeah, I have to mention one last thing... Our entrees came with a dinner salad. The Balsamic Vinaigrette dressing was the best Vinaigrette i've ever had! Unusually thick for a vinaigrette, but amazingly good. I highly recommend this place!!!
Pros: Amazing food, amazing service.
Cons: None.
