I love Avante-after a lifetime of searching for someone who could make my difficult hair look good, I happened upon this incredible salon. The owner and staff are friendly and hip - my personal magicians are William - who gives the most amazing cuts - and Carrie, a master colorist. I have gone as far as traveling to NYC in my search for a good look (think the ""What Not To Wear"" hair stylist). To find this level of talent in my own backyard was astounding! The newly designed decor is great - and, you will be pleasantly surprised at the reasonable pricing. A big bonus is that you won't have to wait weeks for an appointment - they are very creative at fitting in last minute requests. If you try Avante just once, you will never want to go anywhere else! Avante is located a block from the beautiful Roundout Creek and is situated among an eclectic mix of art galleries, antique shops, boutiques, cafes and great restaurants. I love this salon! Alicia and her staff are wonderful and talented! Alicia always fits me in when I need that last minute appointment. I even bring my girls there! My highlights always come out perfect and Alicia takes the time to dry my curly mop for a different/modern look. So i guess im review #1! ... basically i had to get my hair cut last minute and couldn't make the 40 minute drive to my stylist so i going crazy thinking theres not one place in this town that knows how to cut a head of hair.. then i remembered this little salon that i tagged along with my friend to on the strand and always thought it looked real nice inside and all but always asked myself can they cut hair?... so i called and i asked if i was going to be disappointed and she said no i promise ... let me tell you if your just looking for a basic trim or something as difficult as the Victoria Beckham ( which i got) , then look no further than Stacy at Avante salon! I was so pleased with how much of a perfectionist she was and how she took real time to make sure each strand was where it was supposed to be,, thank you so much for making what I thought was going to be the most horrifying experience turn out amazing! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ***** Pros: they told me i wouldn't be disappointed and it was true and theres nothing better than that!
