I love Avante-after a lifetime of searching for someone who could make my difficult hair look good, I happened upon this incredible salon. The owner and staff are friendly and hip - my personal magicians are William - who gives the most amazing cuts - and Carrie, a master colorist. I have gone as far as traveling to NYC in my search for a good look (think the ""What Not To Wear"" hair stylist). To find this level of talent in my own backyard was astounding! The newly designed decor is great - and, you will be pleasantly surprised at the reasonable pricing. A big bonus is that you won't have to wait weeks for an appointment - they are very creative at fitting in last minute requests. If you try Avante just once, you will never want to go anywhere else! Avante is located a block from the beautiful Roundout Creek and is situated among an eclectic mix of art galleries, antique shops, boutiques, cafes and great restaurants. Make a day of your visit to Kingston!
