Got a coupon as a gift through Amazon Local for a remote start from them. Was really excited to get it installed, but the problems started day one. I tried calling for weeks; no answer on the phone, ever. No answering machine, no nothing - it just rang indefinitely.\r

This morning I tried to stop by before work, wound up waiting 20 minutes for someone to show up and talk to me. Within seconds of starting the conversation, they informed me that they could not install the starter the voucher was for, and that futhermore it was 'not very good' and they'd rather not install it in someone's car to begin with. I was understandably incredulous and after some back and forth clarifying they told me I'd have to go for a much more expensive unit that would set me back an additional 200 dollars, and that futhermore despite them valuing the voucher at nearly 400 dollars they'd only give me a credit of what was paid for it (a little over 100) for the installation. When I asked them if they were okay with this, they said, ""Yeah, we've sold like, 1,700 of them. I'm pretty sure we're okay with it.""\r

At this point I was absolutely baffled, and I just had to recap what had been said, I asked the manager who I was speaking to, just to make sure that I had things right, that he was absolutely sure that I was only going to get $108 for the coupon (which makes it not a deal, at all) and that he was okay telling me that my business didn't matter to him (since clearly, when I expressed displeasure his only response was ""well there's plenty of other people who bought these."") He then screamed, ""shut up and listen to me for a second.""\r

At this point I stormed out, informing him I was going to complain to Amazon Local, to which he said, ""Go ahead!"". They're confrontational, unresponsive, incredibly slimy and entirely uninterested in providing anything resembling customer service. While i'm sure that the individual technicians are experienced and good people I think the people in charge are way too slimy to be trusted and you would be better served at another location. I have never experienced this level of rudeness or dishonesty at any business I've dealt with.
