My car got assassinated, and I adore this car, I was sure it would never be the same. They handled everything for me, and made it a pleasant experience. Really professional, High class shop, but with a Mom ad Pop attitude. I would rate them 6 stars if I could. more

Automotive Impressions did a very good job. It took a really long time, but I understand why. It is a new car and they probably had to order the parts, but they did a great job. You can't even tell there was an accident or anything. I'm from the East Coast, so I'm just used to everything being faster. more

This was a big mistake 1/15/2012

I talked with the owner about profesionally painting a vehicle I am restoring. They were very friendly at first and showed me the shop. Promissed me a good job.( my big mistake was to not get everything in writing and with a set timeframe noted) I stripped the car myself before I brought it in so it was ready for prep. A price was agreed upon and a time frame of 2 to 3 weeks. I checked on the progress often since I live nearby and it was convenient. They had told me they could not work on it right away since their main business is collision repair. They started several days later to sand the car and fix some minor body dings. After a few weeks they had painted the roof and told me it would be ready the next week. I took time off from work to work on the car after I would get it back and I was promissed several times it would be ready by then ( 5 weeks after I brought it in). To make this long story short: I took my car out of there 9 1/2 weeks later and in unsatisfactory condition, paint job was worse than what MAACO delivers, when I told them about this before I picked it up they started fixing things but in the end they did not follow trough and deliver a good product, it was less than half finished, some parts like the hood were excellent others terrible, earlier pinstriping is visible through the paint, damaged paint from putting back windowmolding, dull spots allover and a minor dent and some rockchips just painted over and visible.When these issues were brought up a week before, the owner was very apologetic and told me they would take care of it, I told them I expected this to be taken care of including some kind of discount for the more than 6 week delay. At consequent daily inspections I was flat out lied to about what they had done and were going to do to set things straight. On the day I picked it up I was flatout told this is the best we can do, we are not going to do anything more to it and there is no discount whatsoever! "You got a factory-like paint job". I tell you what if factories delivered cars like this they would not sell many! When I got it home the driver side window did not roll down anymore and I found out that the some of the hardware they removed was put in upside down. I am exteremely disappointed in this shop and their work. Things only started getting done after I complained and then they were rushed and done very poorly. I understand their business is mainly collision repair but they should have not accepted the job if they could not deliver a product to be proud of. I consulted with knowledgeable people and was told what I got is about a third worth what I paid for. In the end after more than nine weeks I was blown of with an inferior product. I think this shop is capable of doing a good job but they just chose not to do it because they had more lucrative collision work to do... After all, very poor service and unsatisfactory work. GRADE F RESPONSE FROM Automotive Impressions: We are sorry it took longer than anticipated. However, it is of no benefit for us to delay a vehicle. We do give collision repair priority because these are vehicles people depend on for their daily transportation. I too, am sorry we did not write expectations on paper to be signed by both parties. We have been in business for 18 years and always strive to do the best job possible and strive to satisfy the customer. more

Saved my car 9/7/2011

My SUV was badly damaged in a car accident, and I thought it was beyond repair. However, Jerry at Automotive Impressions checked the car over and was able to completely repair it. It was done on time, just as promised. The new front door squeaked when I first got the car back, but some WD 40 seems to have taken care of that. The paint is a perfect match to the original. more

I would never, ever recommend Automotive Impressions to anyone! I've gone to them before, and I always thought they were good, but now I'm completely second guessing myself. I don't want to be mean, because I know it's a family-owned company, and people need to work and make a living, but they did me wrong! Initially, I took my truck to them for repairs, the front had been smashed in from an accident. I saw my son take the key and the key fob into the shop to hand over to them. I wasn't in a bind, I had another vehicle to drive, it wasn't like I needed my truck back right away, so I wasn't pestering them to rush the repair job. So I was honestly surprised with the turnaround time. When I picked up the truck, to be honest, I didn't really take as good of a look at it as I should have. It was hot, I was tired and just wanted to get home. They gave me the key and I thought "where's the key fob?" but then figured it must be in the car already so I didn't ask about it. When I got home, I realized that I didn't have the key fob, so I called them and asked if it was there. They told me they didn't have it and that we hadn't brought it in. But, I was pretty sure that I remembered seeing my son take it inside to them when we had dropped it off, but they got me thinking that maybe I didn't remember it right, which definitely could have been possible. I bought a replacement fob and it was not cheap! Not too long after that, they ended up finding my key fob in their yard where they park the cars they're not working on, it was just laying in the dirt. They didn't even apologize for their mistake and misplacing it! In the dirt! But that wasn't even the big part of this disaster! I was driving my truck at night, and that's when I noticed the headlights were messed up. One light was shining up to the moon and the other one was shining out to the side! That's not right! So they didn't adjust my headlights for me when they were finished with the repairs. I thought, "that's okay, I'll just give Jerry a call and he'll take care of it for me." At that time, I was a little upset though, because that's a total safety hazard, I mean I could have caused an accident! When I got home, I finally saw the horrible job they had done on my truck. The grill wasn't straight, the fender didn't line up and the lights were loose. I was shocked! A panel was glued down, instead of replacing it, and it didn't even lay right and the wind probably would have taken it right off! My son looked at it and told me that he would have been fired if he had done work like that! I grew up with a mechanic, so I knew it was wrong. Jerry and the adjuster came out to my work to look at my truck. They tried to tell me that the lights were loose from the road, what?! They had nothing else to say about anything! I was so disappointed. I had so much faith in that company, I really gave the benefit of the doubt, but it was a rotten, rotten experience. Jerry looked a little sad when I said I was going to take it somewhere else to have it fixed. But I had to, my truck is not some Micky Mouse truck, it's a big, expensive truck and I have to take care of it! The other place I took it to was able to correctly repair it for me. RESPONSE FROM Automotive Impressions: Dear Tina, I am sorry you feel you were not properly taken care of. We worked diligently with the Insurance Company to be sure that your concerns were addressed and taken care of. As you know, we are a small family owned company and it is our goal always, to perform proper repairs to a customers vehicle and provide the customer with the best service possible. However, human error does factor in occasionally which is the reason we ordered a key fob before it was found later. I was not aware you had purchased a key fob. Please bring in your invoice and I will reimburse you. more

Automotive Impressions will always get a 5+ from me! Half of our town goes there, really, all of my neighbors and all the people around us take their cars there. They do first class work and are true artists in their field. When I got my car back, it looked totally brand new! The people who own the business are personable and really go the extra mile for you. They offer rides to and from wherever you need to go. I am so happy to have a place like this in our neighborhood. You just don't get too many people like this anymore, I really appreciate it.
