Worst

You usually lose. I have eaten here at least 10 times but have only enjoyed my meal once or twice. Slow service is common, and food quality may or may not exist.

Great Food and Service 3/30/2010

Austins is the perfect place to indulge! I think guilty pleasures are a regular here. The server was very imformative, super friendly and QUICK. I like quick! The fajitas (steak and chicken combo) decided to throw some kind of fiesta in my mouth. Pricing is great compared to the quality you get and size/portion of my meals. Ive been a customer here for about 12 years and cant believe that anybody would rate Austins less than a world class dining experience. Austins, you complete me! more

Steaks, Ribs and Fajitas 3/11/2009

The food at Austins is great! I have had the house sirloin, fajitas and their bbq ribs and all were excellent. The meat melts in your mouth!!! The atmosphere is fun and different, it's a nice restaurant with a casual feel. It's also very kid friendly, I'll definitely go back and bring my niece and nephew for kids eat free on Sunday nights! more

perfect night out 1/26/2009

my husband and i enjoy going out for a nice dinner. we decided to go to austins and had a great dinner and then realized there was a music venue attatched and had the perfect night out. what a jem in the rough, good job libertyville. keep up the good work austins! Pros: service, food, entertainment Cons: 10 minute wait more

The worst staff i've ever seen 1/31/2008

i filled out a 2 for 1 lunch special online, it says on the website to bring identiication and you will be on the preferred list. so me and my mom went there, because of the coupon. when we got there our waitor informed us that it actually needed to be sent to you through email, even though in the website it never says that anywhere. i later called and asked to speak to a manager. he not only did not fix the problem, but refunding one of our lunches, but he showed me not respect at all, telling me how wrong i was. i've been a waitress for 3 years, and i have never heard a manager speak to a customer like he spoke to me. i will never return to austins after the horrible experience i had today. more

terrible service, dont recommend 1/31/2008

the first problem i had was when i was going to do there new years eve special. i had a death in the family and had to leave town. i called austins at least 4 times to get my name off the list, and the told me as long as i didnt show up, i wouldnt be charged. sure enough, they next day i was charged 260 dollars. the problem was, i just spent all my money on a plane ticket to go to a funeral, so i didnt have that. so i was also charged overdraft fees. they took off the 265, but i had to pay 30 dollars in fees, and there manager still has not called me back to give me the money. will never go here again. you go to have a good time, but i always leave disapointed. more

worst service ever 1/31/2008

I have been working in customer service my entire life and i have never seen such horrible managment service. I went on austins website and there was an area thay said if you fill out this survey you got a 2 for 1 lunch special. it said fill it out ad bring identificatio and you will be on there preffered list. when we got there, my waitor informed us that it actually was mailed to you later on, even though in the website it doesnt say that anywhere. i called the manager to let them know it was misleading, and not only did he not fix the problem, he was completly disrespectful. where i work, we take care of there problems, not tell them how wrong thet are. i will never go back to this place ever again. there food is pretty good, but there serive is so bad its not worth it. by the time you get your food its cold anyways. Pros: pretty good food Cons: rude staff, horrible manager, dont care about the customer, just making money more

Awesome 12/28/2007

I read about this place on another review and wanted to try it. Awesome, chicken finger pita is amazing! The service was a tad slow, but the server was great and still made it fun. I heard in the ""Fuel"" room they have great bands in all the time. Definitely worth trying! more

What a find in the subburbs 5/20/2006

Its no wonder all the great bands in the Chicago land area play there, For once a place that has great food and GREAT for live music, keep your eyes on this place. Pros: good parking , great food, great music Cons: none, none, none more

Service is slow 5/16/2006

I agree with others that the service is slow beyond slow. But, I do continue to go here because the food is great. I especially like the barbecued pork sandwhiches. Beware, if you ask to substitute your bun for their pretzel bun, they charge an additional $.50. Not sure it is worth it and wish they would tell you.\r The atmosphere is pretty noisy so, don't expect a quiet night out. And, if they have a band going, it is really loud. PROS: Good food CONS: Loud, slow service more

roaches like it too 7/21/2005

I used to like Austins because of the good tasting southwest food. But one day we had a roach crawl across the table in broad daylight. If they have roaches out during the day, just think what is crawling in the walls. Made me look alot closer at my black beans and rice. I have not gone back and would not recommend. more

Great New Place 8/26/2002

Just reopened with a new menu after remodeling. Great place to watch sports. They have bands and specials during the week. The reggae band on Wednesday is outstanding. Waitresses are hot. Food is great. Try the Blackened Chicken Sandwich ot the Friday Fish Fry. more

They cater to over drinkers,saloon goers,& bad mexican copiedfood,they call it ,southwestrn cuisine food...Try places in Highwood or Libertyville...Overpriced drinks...really High... more
