My Maytag Dishwasher push button front panel quit working and I had an Extended Warranty through Home Depot on it. Austec Appliance was assigned to repair it and Cleo came out ...

Worst

I have an extended warrranty with Lowes who have a list of repair shops. I was given this company. I am a Military spouse whose Husband is currently deployed. Any how this company...

Worst Appliance Service 2/26/2009

Do not use unless you like getting run around and waiting four or so days for a simple repair. Call someone else. Cons: I Think they hire ex-cons. more

Horrible...absolutely horrible.. 2/5/2009

After two months Austec has been unable to fix a simple refrigerator that is only 1 year old. They have taken the money and run. Calls go unreturned, promises that someone will call or come back go unfulfilled. Do not trust them. Do not call them. EVER. Cons: They will take your money and run. more

Avoid Austec Appliance!!!!! 1/11/2009

We had Austec Appliance do warranty service on our LG dishwasher (which is less that two years old) earlier this year. Months later, the door handle falls off. When we went to see what the problem was with the handle, we notice water has been leaking from the left side of the dishwasher. We decided to pull out the dishwasher to see where the leak was coming from. We had difficultly pulling the dishwasher out from the cabinet because the water had caused the particle board to swell and bind the dishwasher. Once the dishwasher was extracted, we noticed that the left side panel was bent as a result of being incorrectly re-attached to the dishwasher. After we removed the side panel, we discovered the source of the leak was coming from the ""air guide"" gasket. Apparently, the Austec technician failed to tighten the ""air guide"" nut on the interior of the dishwasher tub, so water was leaking around the gasket. It was simple to tighten the nut. Unfortunately, a lot of water damage had already been done to the cabinet. We had to repair the cabinet before we could re-install the dishwasher. Cons: Sloppy workmanship, cost us more to clean up their work more

Poor performance, didn't own up to it 7/22/2008

Overall, my experience was bad. They made and didn't keep an appointment, didn't apologize or take responsibility for that, waited 10 days to order the part then lied and said it was ordered 10 days earlier. I wrote the company twice about my complaints and got no response. I won't use them again and will need to tell the warranty company that referred me, of my experience. more

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE SERVICE 4/29/2008

First they tell us that it's going to be $81.18 for the service call, that's fine. We have them come out. The service guy is here for 10 minutes, tells us what is wrong with our refrigerator, he'll have to order parts and he'll get back to us later that afternoon. He also tells us that the $81.18 will be applied towards the labor if we have the work done. 5 days later WE had to call THEM to find out what was going on. She said ""let me call the parts department and I'll get back to you."" Still no call. We called AGAIN Monday with still no answers - blaming the maintenance guy for not calling us. Later that afternoon she finally called back and gave us prices and informed us that there would be NO credit given towards labor from the initial service call. At that point we realized just how unreliable this company is and how they do not know how to conduct business. I assume that after they get the initial $81.18 for 10 minutes of work, they really don't want to do anything else. Now that I actually have gone online to look into more info I see many others have had problems with this company. Lesson learned here, that's for sure. DO SOME RESEARCH! Pros: None - except the initial tech seemed nice. Cons: Everything from the moment he left on... more

Great Service 3/24/2008

I had service from Austec and after bad service from two other co's Austec was the only ones who knew what they were doing. GREAT SERVICE!!! Pros: Worked with me on a tight schedule more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! 11/13/2007

This was the most awful process to get our dryer fixed. It took them a month to finally fix it. They are unreliable, miss appointments, do not call you back, and will only complete the job they are hired to do if you nag them for days and hours. Pros: they seem to know how to fix appliances Cons: you can never get them to show up when they are scheduled or be responsible for work more

Don't Use Them 10/12/2007

Quite simply, the worst service I have ever experienced. Scheduled three different appointments, and they didn't show up to any of them. After scheduling a fourth, they at least called first to say they wouldn't be there. I ended up using someone else. Pros: None that I know of Cons: Bad, bad service more
