I really don't see what all the fuss is about with this place. All the locations taste the same to me. The pizza sauce really tastes like a can of cheap speghetti O's, minus the O's. It's a nice place to be at but really the food is just average. After people talk it up so much it really just makes it that much more disappointing. Mouth Watering Pizza! 7/12/2005

Oh how I miss this pizza! It is the only "real" pizza for me. I have tried to find something like it and have yet to succeed. The crust, the cheese, the sauce (perfect, not to sweet or spicy) and the toppings, they are the best. Having eaten this pizza, nothing else measures up. Aurelio's is the best!! 7/11/2005

I've been tasting Aurelio's since I was a wee little one!! Highly reccommend the pizza no matter what store! I live in Denver now and we travel 35 minutes just to go get Aurelios out here! It tastes just the same! Very consistent (food quality) in all their stores. In addition to the pizza, I love their subs..they're so good! The crust on the pizza is one of a kind! I grew up on Aurelio's pizza and it will always be a must for me whenever I come home to Chicago to visit my family. It is a huge part of my childhood and will always be associated with happy, fun family memories . Plus, the pizza is great!!! Request the old oven....Its the best!!!!!! more

If you LOVE Pizza THIS one's a Keeper! 5/19/2005

I love real pizza not that "fake crust" $5.00 kind. None can compare to Aurelio's. There are several franchises in and around Chicago and the Northwest Indiana region for convenience! The pizza is awesome. Picture a golden brown crust with cheese all the way on the rim. So you get that nice snap at the end. Sometimes you feel the need to eat the rim first it so good! Next the sauce. The sauce is perfect not too sweet, not too spicey, and not too bland. Just the right amount too. I am not a big fan of sausage but even I love the real italian sausage. Toppings are abundant too. Not skimpy. Top it off with real mozzarella cheese and a dash of oregano. AHHH! It smells as good as it tastes. If we carry-out I can not wait until I get home to savor my first slice! more

worth every mile of a 335 mile trip 4/27/2005

I used to live closer. One Friday a month the whole family went to Aurelio's. The crust is light, the sauce has a sweet tang, real italian sausage(with spice the way it's supposed to be)and the cheese/the best part) is over abundant. I am 37 years old and am amazed at the taste, service, and value. My 12 year old son has taken a road trip with mom just for the pizza,670 miles round trip. Now they will deliver it ready to cook thru the mail. I've sent them here and to a "doubter" in Minnesota. No-one that tries it doubt's that Aurelio's is the best pizza ANYWHERE! being born in chicago as I now live in pa. tmissed most is going to the homewood aurelios with my aunt to see joe(aurelio) and have pizza. the taste lasts with you.the sausage is to die for. the shop f is beautiful.each time we "go back home" we make reservations and let aurelios know we are coming. its not unusual for people to be lined out the door and wait an hour for a table. recently had pizza federal expressed to pa for my nephews bday. it will be 42 years i have been eating aurelios. i have pizza shops of my own for 20 years and i can tell you, aurelios is definitly the best in the us! Life Long Love 7/19/2004

I can remember eating and enjoying Aurelio's for about the past 35 years. I even remember as a small child when Mama Aurelio would come around give the kids breadsticks while we were waiting for our pizza. Nobody else's pizza anywhere can compete with Aurelio's pizza. Normally I try not to over eat but when it's Aurelio's all bets are off. Most times leaving the Homewood or Crete stores I can barely make it to the car. Mere words can not do the taste justice. To say the least, it is taste bud bliss. Like many I no longer live in Illinois. Every time I get back up there, we must have Aurelio's pizza. Without Aurelio's the visit is unfulfilled. Pizza To Remember 6/14/2004

I lived in Homewood for over 30 years and moved up North about 10 years ago. Aurelio's has always been the best pizza ever. We still drive 60 miles to Homewood on occasion to get a pizza. We also found out that the Oak Brook Terrace branch & the new Chicago location branch are just as good as the Homewood one. We at least go twice a month, to the all you can eat on Monday or Tuesday in Oak Brook Terrace. Aurelio's will always be my top choice. People who don't like the pizza, probably don't have great taste buds!!! AURELIO'S IS THE BEST!!! more

AFTER READING OVER REVIEWS-I CAN ONLY SURMISE THAT THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS ARE FROM THE COMPETITION!!! I GREW UP IN HOMEWOOD AND WENT TO AURELIO'S EVER FRIDAY FROM THE TIME I WAS 5 YEARS OLD TIL I WENT AWAY TO COLLEGE. WHEN I CAME HOME-THIS WAS MY FIRST STOP! I've lived in Chicago, Kansas City, St. Louis and Springfield, Missouri and traveled all over. Aurelio's is not only Chicago's best but the nations's best. If only they would consider putting a restaurant in the Springfield, Missouri area so others would understand what I keep telling them. more

Excellent Pizza 12/11/2003

This is the best pizza in the south suburban area. Their spinach thin crust pizza is simply delicious, I also like their spinach calabrese. We eat there about once a week. The service there is also fast. The dining room can be completely seated but it does not take long for your order to come out. Pros: Inexpensive, delicious, fast more

Aurelio's Pizza is the best restuarant I have ever eaten at, and I have eaten at allot from having a large group of my family in the food bussiness. I have been going there since I was a little child, and I still love going back to where I grew up. It is a lovely restuarant and has excellent service. Best place to lose track of time 7/24/2003

This little place has the best pizza, prices service and ambience I know in the area. You can go there with a group of friends and with the comfortable atmosphere and relaxed servers stay until close and not realize the time that went by. I moved to California from Chicago 20 years ago. Missed the Pizza. Just moved to St. Paul MN and was delighted to see that there is a Branch of the Aurelios Family in Roseville MN. When checking out great pizza in the Twin Cities you should check out the Aurelios in Roseville its been there since 1959. Just thought the people in MN might want to try this great pizza.
