Coffee's okay. Service is slow. Expect to be ignored while the staff make idle small talk.

Great Iced Tea too 12/14/2008

I have to recommend this coffee shop. They have an amazing attitude and it's the only coffee shop in the area that feels like it's populated with real people - on both sides of the bar. Good espresso pours and in the summer there are three kinds of iced teas available. Tasty. more

I love the neighborhood connections 3/28/2008

It is nice to see my neighbors and people close to my neighborhood at Audubon. It allows a positive bonding toward us / the community. Thanks, Rich more

Excellent Service, I highly receommend a cold press drink 5/23/2007

I love coming to Audubon. The people working there always make me feel so at home. The service is exceptional, I always leave with a smile. The baristas are helpful with suggestions when I'm not sure what I'm in the mood for. The coffee is roasted locally and always fresh. A wonderful neighborhood coffee shop where the coffee and the exceptional service always warm you up inside. more

Editorial
  • This small, independent neighborhood coffee joint dates back to the mid-1990s, back when Northeast Minneapolis was just beginning to show shades of its current vogue among local artsy-types and 20-something hipsters. Beyond the requisite free Internet and a solid lineup of coffees and espresso drinks, the place offers a peek into the unique character of the area near 29th and Johnson, which still houses an interesting mix of working-class families and Volvo-wheeling downtowners. Weather permitting, it’s advisable to park yourself at a sidewalk table to enjoy some midday sun and a steady stream of intriguing passersby. Beware: They don’t take plastic, so unless you want to schlep a few blocks to the nearest ATM, be sure to have cash in-hand.
