I had them install a stereo, amp, speakers, and alarm system and am very happy with the job they did. My only complaint would be they took way longer then they said they would and you can only walk around in Target for so long before going nuts! more

just to let everyone know that the Audio express in mesa is the greatest!!! Did a great job installing an alarm in my 1993 pickup truck! its great!! while learning to use the dang thing i had to return to store a few times because i didn't know sometimes what was going on, and finally the guys there are so good to help me and never complain about nothing. its hard to find good customer service!! and these boys have it!! my brother later returned to have a system put in his boat and they did a outstanding job on getting the work done and saving him a lot of $$$$. The boat sounds great!! Thank you Johnny he is the one to ask for!!! he works for you and saves you a bundle!!! more

We walked by the shop in the back where it looked like an ""installer"" was taking a cig break to ask a quick question about window tinting. Worker was nonchalantly rude and replied, ""I don't know, maybe you might wanna like go through THE FRONT DOORS and ask??"" Sheesh! Talk about bad customer service! This store will not be getting our business, ever. If this is how the workers attidude's are, imagine the people within. The first impression is the best impression. more

WOW!!! Great stereo shop!!! 12/23/2008

I have been to several local ma-pa stereo shops and avoidethe big chain stores as a native AZ. My local shop went out of business and I heard a commercial that the Aduio Express in Mesa were doing free system checks for all the customers that bought stuff from stores that went out of business. My speaker blew up so I went there thinking they were going to tax me for my ""free"" system check. They didn't. They told me my speaker wire was loose, fixed it in 10 minutes-without trying to tell me mine was broken-and told me have a good day. They were super busy too, but the manager had the install manager check it and fix it so quick it blew me away! I was completely blown away by thier COOLNESS!!! Old fasion customer service pays off. My brother went in and bought a $3000 system, zero issues, we love it and will refer any and all of our friends/family back there, the whole crew was amazing!! \r \r GiGi Pros: customer service, price was fair, fun environment Cons: none! more

Car audio installs BEWARE! 8/3/2008

If you like paying more than you should.\r If you like paying for body damage.\r If you like poor workmanship.\r If you like promises that won?t be kept.\r \r Then please go to:\r Audio Express\r 1235 S. Gilbert Road\r Mesa AZ 85204\r \r Ask to speak with Kurt Joiner the store Manager. He will gladly promise you anything ask you to over pay and then refuse to work with you when problems come up.\r \r Freight Sales, Inc. is the name of the parent company, and surprisingly it is very difficult to find this information out. There is no place to register a complaint with either company. \r \r On June 8th 2008 I went shopping around for a new alarm system for my vehicle I checked out a few stores and ended up at Audio Express.\r \r I end up deciding to have more than just the alarm installed I was going to finally have the stereo of my dreams installed. \r \r I love my 1986 Chevy Blazer it is the first car that I ever purchased and as time has gone on I have restored the truck and dedicated it to the friend I purchased it from who passed away a few years ago.\r \r After paying over $3500 for equipment and labor costs I pick up my vehicle on June 21st. I found 14 issues wrong with the install! So on June 23rd I returned my vehicle to Audio Express with a document with pictures pointing out the various issues.\r \r Had I know that they would damage a vehicle and not fess up to it after clearly showing incompetence in other areas I would have never let them touch my truck.\r Pros: the door opens so you can leave before getting ripped off Cons: Customer Service is Terrible, Attention to detail does not exist, more

They dont listen and dont seem to care!!! 3/30/2008

\r Once the sales person (Brandon Perry) and I started looking at the system that was installed I noticed the following major discrepancies:\r 1) The Sirius Sat interface requires the use of some kind of switch and can only be operated via an infrared remote control. I specifically asked for control via the steering wheel and an installation that worked with my factory deck. I confirmed with the sales person that he had understood the type of control I was looking for and he agreed that the installation was not what I had asked for.\r 2) The sales person asked if I had brought both my ipod and my ipod cable because they were not able to get the ipod they had to work. I did not have my cable with me so we were unable to test the ipod. Once I arrived home I tried the ipod and it did not work. A quick 30 second scan of the documentation was all I needed to determine that an ipod will not work via the USB input which is how they had set it up. This feature will not work in its current configuration. Even IF the ipod feature worked through the USB I would still have to use a switch and an infrared remote instead of being able to control the ipod with my steering wheel controls.\r 3) I was told by the sales person that they were going to use the USB hookup for my ipod and that the flip down DVD system could be hard wired via RCA?s to my current system so that I would not need to use an FM modulator. Once the install was complete the sales person told me the only way for me to hear the DVD through my speaker system was through an FM MODULATOR!\r 4) Finally the installation of the DVD flip down system is questionable at best. They weight of the system is already causing my headliner to sag which to me is an indication of improper installation. In the heat of Arizona I imagine the headliner will not lat the summer.\r \r \r I am in the process of trying to request a full refund. They can have the ""equipment"" back. Cons: cust service, attention to detail more
