Junky computer from Atman 10/17/2009

We bought a computer from Atman this March at their recommendation. It has an one-year warranty. 7 months later the computer appeared to have no power and stopped running. We went to Atman with our receipt. A gentleman called Michael told us he found water damage in the computer. It would cost $95 to repair it and would not be covered by warranty. more

STOLE PARTS OUT OF MY LAPTOP!!! 1/13/2009

I get my laptop back, there was a problem with the screen, it was too dim, that was all. I take it home after the repair is completed and I've paid $150 for their work already. The computer now works, no dim screen, but when I unplug it from the wall, it turns off immediately. I recently went to sell the laptop and I discovered the price of a battery and the cause of my problem. The resale of these batteries is very high, about half the value of my old klunker laptop. I open up my battery to have a look, it has no barcode on it, it is not the original I purchased with my computer. They stole my battery and sold it online, and charged me $150. Must be a very profitable business Atman is running. Cons: Yes, they are definitely cons more

Convenience at a price 3/5/2007

This place is in my hood, so it is where i usually go for the odd computer gizmo that i find i need in a pinch. And for that, they are great. The prices aren't the best, but thats what you pay for convenience I suppose. An IDIE to PCMCIA adapter: $12. One can of air duster: $9. Pros: Lots of junk you just may need! Cons: The prices are high, and sometimes seem to be set at the moment of sale. more
