Atlas Coffee Mill & Cafe

Tables always reserved though no one ever shows up to sit in them. We used to have meeting at this place and always ended up with a giant bill, spending way more than the coffee clutch that has tea and that is it but the owner always rude and clearly doesn't care if people come back. Girl behind the counter tried but was being overruled/cut off by the rude owner. It was so bad recently that I was shocked and embarassed by her bad behavior. I don't know how they manage to stay in business with her at the helm. more

We were treated like criminals. We were told where we had to sit...and told that all other tables were RESERVED even though no one ever sat there during our visit. The attitude of the staff was poor--they obviously were bothered by our presence. I asked questions about the menu and received rude responses. I tried to order a soup and sandwich, but was told that there was only one sandwich option and wasn't even a sandwich--it was a wrap. There would be no substitutions. I finally ordered a salad and when it arrived to the table, it appeared to have been left out for several days in the sun--totally wilted and disgusting. I sent it back to be remade, and the server appeared seconds later with the same salad on a different plate. Really? I don't know how this place stays in business. The good reviews on this site were written by the owners--they are so far removed from the reality of the experience in this cafe that no one else could have possibly submitted them. more

The menu is wonderful. The food and drinks taste fantastic ... always fresh and yummy. Even the dishes are beautiful. The staff is always warm and caring to the customers and each other. The view of the Fox River is outstanding. When I leave, I feel like I have just been on a mini vacation. more

Cozy, warm cafe with healthy, made-to-order breakfast and lunch selections including soups, sandwiches, and salads. Fresh fruit and great bakery. Outstanding specialty coffee drinks and teas. Friday night live music. PLUS unique gifts from local artists in their boutique and art gallery. Definitely a place to visit. Limited breakfast and lunch menu. Cold interior, lacked personality. Table and chairs looked like outdoor furniture. Floor had not been swept between breakfast and lunch. Staff was too few and too uncaring. more
