Excellent Staff and Service 3/19/2012

When I arrived I was treated with smiles and kindness. All the staff was friendly and informative. I've never been a big fan of the dentist, but I've already made appointments for the rest of my work because this office makes me feel comfortable and informed. more

Excellent Staff and Service 11/25/2011

I recently switched from Gentle Dental to Aspen because of convenience. I can't believe the difference! Not only do they take a FULL MOUTH of X-rays to get a good look at ALL of your teeth but your first visit is a comprehensive exam with the doctor and gum measurements with hygienist to get a full view of all the work that needs to be done. I as well as many other patients probably did not know that this was recommended by the ADA because no other offices do it! At my previous office, all they took were 4 x-rays and no measurements of my gums!! How can you give proper care that way? To me this is neglect!! I can't believe that other offices aren't following these guidelines! When I arrived I was treated with smiles and kindness. All the staff was friendly and informative. I've never been a big fan of the dentist, but I've already made appointments for the rest of my work because this office makes me feel comfortable and informed. I've read the other reviews on here and I really don't agree with ANY of them. The staff is excellent, the services are excellent, and they do things the RIGHT WAY!! I'd highly recommend this office to anyone! more

Best Dental Service 11/21/2011

I am a 73 year old man who have nerver had a tooth pulled before and was very affraid of the dentist. Recently I had allot of pain and aches and other problems with my mouth, but I was too afraid to go to the dentist mainly due to bad experiences in the past. My daughter talked me into going to see Dr. Rahman at Aspen Dental in Qunicy. He was very patient with me and explained to me that I had to have three teeth pulled. I scheduled the extraction with his oral surgeon. I cannot believe that I had no pain when the teeth were pulled. Both Dr. Rahman and the surgeon were awesome. They made my experience the best experience I have ever had. So far I have sent three friends and familyn member to see Dr. Rahman and the Aspen Dental Staff for they dental care. Thank you Dr. Rahman and Dr. Azzouni. M. Montes more

HORRIBLE COMPANY!!!! 9/6/2011

My husband and I needed to find a local dentist with good hours. Should have been my first clue bc those good hours are always booked solid and the hygienist doesn't even work on Saturdays! So my concern was that I was not willing to have my panoramic redone as it hasn't even been a year and was told they would take it. I had them sent over and in the mean time my husband went in and comes out with a 2,000 dollar work up order and was asked do you want to schedule all of that right now knowing that half of it wasn't even covered bc our max benefit runs out in the middle of it! So I get it and call and we discuss that we will start with the major issues and break it up. But it made me nervous bc they didn't at all try to look out for us! Then they do a cancer screening that our ins doesn't cover but tells us that it is routine yet after I just called today they said no you signed something, k prove it bc we did not knowingly sign anything of the sort! After my husband went in the last time and tried to explain that we don't want anything done wo asking us if our ins doesn't cover it. With raised voices both the receptionist and office manager said that is our responsibility to know what they cover! And while that may be true the tone and attitude were uncalled for and right there is when they lost our business! So now I am trying to get our xrays and told there is a 10$ charge..k, never heard of that but oh yah, they ""are a corporation"". and now she says they can't find my x rays and they wouldn't hv taken them from another dentist bc it's against their rules and so I said that makes sense that you would lie to us to get us in your office! Please don't use them! So happy cuz I found out that our insurance does cover us to go out of network at the same rates!! They are not out to take care of the customer...this office especially has NO customer service!!!! more

does every patient have gum disease?? 4/26/2011

I recently moved to this area, and I wanted to find a new dentist that was conveniently located in this area. Of course, the TV ads caught my attention, using sincere-looking actors. I am diligent in my routine check-ups, every 5-7 months. On my first visit, only x-rays and initial consultation was scheduled. Not only is this inconvenient for working people, but I would need to take another day off for any other work. They took individual AND panoramic views of my mouth, this is very costly and unnecessary to the dental insurance companies. They claimed I needed deep scaling due to periodontic disease in the lower back section of my mouth, at a cost of $1200.00. I explained that I have never be diagnosed or recommended this procedure. I called back and requested just routine cleaning and not the deep scaling. They would not be able to do any routine cleaning without the deep scaling, since it was only in a small section of my mouth. Why expose patients to so much radiation? Panoramic x-rays are costly and unwarranted for routine visits. Perhaps they should ask what and when previous x-rays were done... What a scam!!! more

HUMILIATING EXPERIENCE! 4/13/2011

I cannot recall the dentists name, but I came in with an infection and several issues with my teeth. The dentist yelled at me, insinuated that all I did was drink soda and sugar all day everyday and that it was my fault I was in pain and had a swolen face. I was humiliated I left in tears and would never go again. I knew my teeth were bad that's why I was there. I HAVE NEVER BEEN TREATED SO POORLY IN ALL MY LIFE! more

Dr. Sachin Paranjape combines dentistry with compassion 9/6/2010

Dr. Sachin Paranjape is the most compassionate and caring dentist I have ever met. I have always been painfully nervous of going to the dentist. I went to Aspen Dental in 2002 and have always felt so lucky that I met him. Over the years I have referred many friends and family to see him. Everyone I have sent to see him has said the same amazing things about him,he is so gentle and caring, he has a great personality and the staff have always been very kind to me. Dr. Sachin Paranjape is a five star dentist more

Do not give Apen Dental yor Business 10/2/2009

Being a single Mom who worked in the area I went here on my lunch hour for a cleaning. BIG mistake. my previous hygenist in Florida always complimented my brushing and flossing skills and the little amount of tartar and plaque and how healthy my gums were. This place the hygenist and dentist were in cohoots to bring in business during the recession, try to sell iplants and bridge work. And EVERYONE needs :special scaling"" and is sold a $127 tootbrush and $27 tootpast andt $27 dental rinse. You will be told you need SCALING but a periodondist will not do it, the hygenist will ans she will try to sell you so many additional services. The dentist is sarcarstic and rude and should sell used cars. Pros: it was next town over Cons: they are too aggressive more

Misleasing, scam, outdated equipment, long wait 6/4/2009

I COULD NOT GIVE LESS THAN 1 START, BUT, JUST SO YOU KNOW, THAT'S WHAT I WOULD CHOOSE. I went for a ""new patient visit"" (free if you have no insurance) at Aspen Dental Quincy. My appointment was at opening of the store 9 am but I started with a 30-minute wait (??). Waiting room looks beat up, regardless of the attempts to cover up chips the interior and cuts in the wallpaper. Treatment area is not different (very outdated material, furniture, walls, and literally covered with dust). X-rays were taken (they still use those on film, not the ones where everything shows up on a computer screen at once). Dr. N.E. Miller did the exam. He did a regular check and started an assessment for periodontal disease (which I did not know it existed, and was not explained until I asked) and he reported that I have a mild form of periodontal disease and need treatment. I was referred to an administrative desk where I had to wait another 10 minutes (not that the desk was busy). Then they wanted to schedule an appointment for “the work that needs to be done”. I said I wanted to know about prices first. The hygiene treatment in two visits would be $749,- (that was after a 10-11% discount (?)). I asked: ""what does that include?"" answer: ""everything that is needed as the Dr. has spoken to you about"" (so it would include thorough cleaning of the teeth also under the gum + antibiotic injections at two locations). Then they had me sign a form that included the phrase: ""I acknowledge that the recommended treatment plan has been fully explained..."". I wanted to think it over and read about periodontal disease before I made any appointment. Four weeks later I called them to ask if I could just do a standard hygiene cleaning because the amount quoted earlier was too much now. To be honest, I didn’t mind not having this type of treatment at all, because I had come to understand from reading a lot about periodontal disease that I really had a mild form. I was told that that was not possible but they could cut some costs if I would not take the toothbrush ($140), toothpaste ($27), and mouth wash ($27) that were part of my treatment plan (!!). I was flabbergasted. I said not thanks and called a few other dentists, went for another free screening plus discounted hygiene treatment. Pros: Parking (but who cares considering the Cons) Cons: Misleasing, scam, outdated equipment, long wait more

The dentist Sachin Paranjape the worst dentist I have ever came in contact with. The dental board should pull his license. Pros: good parking Cons: unprofessional more

aspen dental 9/22/2008

after Dr. Sachin Paranjape pulled two teeth three weeks later swelling came back and I was concern about infection. When I came into the office (after waiting 45 min.) I was told Dr. Sachin Paranjape refused to give me medical care because of a personality conflict. My sinus has a whole in it from Dr. Sachin Paranjape pulling my tooth and now its infected. Aspen dental does not care about the health of there patents, they only care about the amount of money they can get out of you. I now have to see a oral surgeon. I have been in the medical field for over 30 years, I have never seen a place ran in such a fashion that its just looking for a suit to be taken out against them. I am referring Dr. Sachin Paranjape to the MA. Dental lis. board. more

Apparently, Aspen doesn't care about repeat customers 8/12/2008

Aspen Dental is one of the worst experiences we have had in a long time. Quick to take your money but their service after the fact is the worst. Had top of the line full dentures made that never really fit right, despite numerous trips for adjustments, then bottom denture broke in half and they wanted to charge $100.00 to repair, said the warranty had run out. My wife and I spent almost $5000.00 for two sets of dentures. Read their reviews before you go there, they are not good. Don't make the same mistake we did, shop around, there are more trustworthy, professional people out there, just check them out first. more

Long wait at this office 5/12/2008

Go only if you have an hour or above to wait before being seen by a doctor. Everytime I go to that office, I had to wait for at least an hour before I can be seen by my dentist. My first appointment with the office for X-rays and tooth cleaning was at 3:30pm. However, I was not seen until after 4:00pm when the x-rays were done. Then I had to wait for a doctor for another 0.5-1 hour. I did not get out of the office until 6:00pm without even being seen by a hygienist, and was told to come back for another appointment. \r \r The staff there was not bad. Pros: Convenience, Specialists' skills Cons: Long Wait more

Very Friendly Service 3/25/2008

I have been a customer at Aspen for several years now. I have had to have multiple dental work done. I have always found the staff to be extremely courteous and friendly. Anytime I have had to come in emergently, they have always been extremely accomodating. I remember once when I had just had a root canal done, and a few months later the tooth beside it also started becoming painful... I had just started a new job, and had to be out of work alot secondary to other family medical issues. Dr P, was more than gracious when he offered to come in on a Saturday when the office was closed to try a pulpectomy on my tooth, rather than going for another root canal. How often do you have a DMD offering to come in on his day off to accomodate my needs with time constraints!!!!! I would highly recommend this group as they are a great group of people. Of note, my son who is autistic, also goes there...they have been nothing but wonderful with him. I would highly recommend their service. PS, I'm also in medicine, so I think given what they deal with, I'm very happy.... more

Good luck getting an appt! 12/26/2007

This dental office has no problem rescheduling on you at the last minute, but don't you dare try to reschedule an appointment yourself (even with proper notice). I was told the earlies they could see me was in five weeks! Nice. Not to mention the dentist appears to be afraid of people. She never spoke to me for three enitre visits, only coming by, peeking in my mouth, mumbling something to the tech and then scurrying off. On my last visit I finally asked her as she left the room if she had anything to tell me...she directed me to the tech. Even nicer! Save yourself the hassel and find someplace else to go! Pros: Parking, great experience getting wisdom teeth removed Cons: Scheduling problems, unfriendly dentist more

Worse Dental Service to go to 5/21/2006

Worst Dental Staff in Quincy 1/29/2006

The staff is extremely rude! Their customer service is the worst I have experienced at a dental office. I was not greeted and was ignored the whole time until it was convenient for them. They saw me standing there waiting to be helped, but still chose to ignore me. I should have walked out after 5 min. They also conveniently forgot to mention that they only do xrays on the first visit. They knew I was making an appt for a routine cleaning, but did not tell me that I would be getting xrays instead. So I went in there thinking I would get a cleaning done, but came out with nothing. The dentist was not bad, but the front staff needs to go! They're not doing their job and should really be fired! I would not recommend this place until their reception staff have been replaced! Pros: good parking Cons: receptionists, unfriendly, rude service more
