Very Pleased 5/31/2006

Some of you might appreciate this. As I read any reviews I never really know if they are real or not meaning are posted by the friends and families of the Owner Well I will say I was very pleased by the service, the food, and the price. I typically do not dine at restaurants at this price point I rather pay more for the service, and the quality of food. I was not disappointed, Im very happy. More so it was great Indian food. Welcome addition to the neighborhood 5/22/2006

This restaurant, under its new ownership, has gone from ordinary to excellent. The space is beautiful now--a lot of care seems to be going into decor and lighting--and the service is ultra-professional and friendly. The food is simply some of the best Northern Indian cuisine to be found in the Bay Area: fresh, complex flavors, sublime combinations. I can't recommend it more highly. Check it out! more

Our new favorite Indian Restaurant! 5/21/2006

This restaurant is a labor of love, and it shows! Great atmosphere -- the dining room is warm and inviting with nice decor. The food was fresh and delicious, prepared with great care, and each dish was layered with distinct flavors that were perfectly balanced. Our servers were friendly and knowledgable, suggesting an alternate dish than what we had ordered so that we would have greater variety (it was fantastic!). Our toddler loved it -- the chef (Asram) even invited us back to the kitchen to give her a tour of the Tandoori oven! We'll be back often to continue sampling everything on their extensive and wonderful menu. Pros: Parking garage nearby, Good ambience, Outstanding food more

Bay Area's Culinary Excellence 5/10/2006

Aslams food talks for itself. I feel affection for his food. I find his food irresistible. The service is wonderful and friendly. I highly recommend individuals who love and who want to try Pakistani and Indian cuisine. Aslam is the Top Chef in Northern California to me, when it comes to Pakistani and Indian Cuisine. BEST INDIAN CUISINE IN THE BAY AREA 5/6/2006

Fantastic Indian & Pakistani food - excellent tandoori, curries, & vegetarian. I've tried most dishes on the menu and have never been disappointed. Great service. Nice wine and beer selection, offering a range of European and American draft beers in addition to the Indian imports. Asslam continues to be the best Indian chef in the bay area!! more

I LOVE THIS CHEF'S FOOD. I USED TO EAT AT INDIAN OVEN WHEN HE WAS THE CHEF THERE. HE IS THE NEW OWNER OF ASLAM'S RASOI. I HAD A FANTASTIC DINNER THERE. THE FISH PAKORAS WERE DELICIOUS. THE GOAT CHEESE NAAN WAS THE BEST NAAN I'VE HAD. THE PANEER WAS SO SOFT AND DELICIOUS. PORTION SIZES WERE GENEROUS. GREAT VALUE FOR THE PRICE. ALL OF THE CURRIES AND VEGETABLE DISHES THAT I TRIED WERE PERFECT, SO MUCH FLAVOR! NOT ONLY WAS THE FOOD EXCELLENT, BUT THE SERVICE WAS EXCELLENT AS WELL.
