I haven't been to the Asian Grill in a couple of years and was pleasantly surprised at the remodeling. Very inviting. The manager was very gracious and our sushi outstanding. Tell your friends about this Asian gem on Moody Street. Prices were pretty similar to everywhere else....but the quality of food surpassed my expectations. Pros: Impressive Menu more

I've gone to many sushi places in the area and Asian Grill is the best. Their crispy pad thai is unique and flavorful! I have friends who visit from out of state and always want to go back to Asian Grill for the sushi and pad thai. The place is always spotless and has a nice atmosphere. I'll be back for more. Yummy! No doubt Asian Grill Restaurat is one of the best Asian restaurant in Waltham in my experience. I reccomend their delicious Ok Dol BimBimBap, Kalbi and Nabiyaki Udon of Korean dishesas well as it has a lot of Thai dishes like... Pad Thai, Fisherman Madness and Old Lady Spicy. I love Asian Grill Sushi... Fish is always so fresh and tasty. It is usually busy whenever i go there but i never had to wait for table and food. The atmosphere in the restaurant is great and the staff are smilling and friendly as well as service is wounderful. In a word, service and food excellent and wounderful. I highly reccomend you should go there and enjoy their service and different food. Pros: great service and food more

Asian Grill is one unsavory restaurant! This place will rob your wallet dry and leave you with a bad taste in your mouth. The service is incredibly unfriendly. I used to dine there all the time because I live close by and the last time I was there will be my Last time! The owner of the restaurant was the sushi chef that night. I was appalled by his rudeness. He was giving me dirty looks the entire time I was trying to eat and to top off the night he started stuffing his face with his dinner right in front of me! Asian Grill in Waltham offers an all you can eat sushi buffet for $26 per person. The owner added so much rice to your sushi order that you can only eat one round; you are so stuffed, forget about a second plate. I ordered a few hand rolls and they were packed with (and I?m not exaggerating) one cup of rice! I eat sushi almost 3 times a week and I have tried at least 50 sushi joints in and around the Boston area?this was by far the most unprofessional, non-authentic dining experience ever! I will never go back there again! What an unappetizing experience! Anyone who should know how to run a sushi restaurant is the owner. Right? This guy will never receive another dime from my pocket and I highly recommend anyone who plans to dine at Asian Grill to try another place cause there is plenty of other good sushi spots around. Never Get the Sushi Buffet! First the quality of the sushi is terrible, very dry and tasteless. I ate as much as I could on the plate and had just a few pieces of maki left over because the quality was so bad that it made me lose my appetite. They have this policy , if you have leftover sushi, they will charge an extra $5. I can understand if I ordered another plate of sushi and left it there untouched, but this was my first plate and was really inedible to me. The waitress put the food down and walked away the rest of the night, without even asking how everything was. The bill came and they charged me the extra $5 without even telling me about it. I called my waitress over and tried to explain to her why I didn't eat it and she said ok and that she would be right back. She walked over to the cashier/hostess and told her the problem. After a good 5-10 minutes later, still nobody came over to my table to say anything to me, mind you there was only two other customers in the restaurant, so there was no excuse. I walked over to the cashier/hostess and politely tried to explain myself, she then pulled out a piece of paper and pointed at the policy and that if I didn't like it that I would have to speak with the manager Mr. Kim about it. So I did ask to speak with the manager. She then called me an ""a**hole"" underneath her breath and that's when I said ""Excuse me, what did you call me?"" Then the sushi chef came over and then he called Mr. Kim on his cell phone and when Mr. Kim answered he said somthing in their native toungue, which I could not understand, and then handed me the phone. Mr. Kim would not even let me say anything, instead saying that he didn't need my business and that he has other customers and that he didn't care and then hung up on me! I couldn't believe how the manager himself was so unprofessional. It's not even about the money issue it's more the priciple and attitude that they had that disgusted me even more. My husband and I love sushi, but we were not impressed with the sushi at the Asian Grill. The salmon and tuna in the rolls were 'mushy' and not firm fish. The rolls had more rice than fish and the presentation wasn't what we were use to (garnish, placed on a wooden slab, stacked neatly.The sushi was just placed on a glass plate. I can't speak for the rest of the food, it looked good as they were served to other tables. I'd be curious to try their Pad Thai, I just wouldn't go back here for sushi. I've visited the Asian Grill several times, and I was disappointed each time. The thing with asian restaurants that prepare several cuisines is that they don't specialize and the quality of the food suffers. There are many restaurants in Waltham and surrounding towns that do much better in terms of food, value, and service. Cons: , Poor Service more

This place is very easy to get to, and even parking is not a problem (in the near retail public lot) Service was great, my order was fulfilled with consideration and precission that sometimes lacks due to language barriers - but not here! Friendly staff brightened up my day and definately inspired me to come back if I'm ever in the area. Please keep in mind that I did take-out, so I was not exposed to the whole dining experience...
