Best Treatment Ever 12/4/2010

Go to Asante Salon where the staff, notably Autumn, are professional, friendly, and especially helpful in figuring how to cut and style your hair in a way that makes you --and the people who see you-- happy! They turned me from a raggedy hobo into a sleek urbanite, so just imagine what they could do for you! more

I have been a client of Wanda's for a couple of years now. I am so thankful that she provides the very special service of extensions and wigs for someone like me who has lost most of my hair. I don't know what I would do without her! She is a trusted friend who is honest and works with me on every aspect of the challenging things I go through with wearing a full wig. more

Beautiful salon, friendly staff, great service! 10/22/2010

I've been going to Asante Salon for about a year. The service is excellent, the salon is neat and clean, and the staff is always friendly. \r \r Because of scheduling conflicts, I tend to change my appointments quite a bit, and the staff is so nice trying to accommodate my crazy schedule. No matter how busy and hectic my schedule is, I can always look forward to a relaxing experience at Asante Salon.\r \r more

Asante Salon ruined my hair 4/8/2010

Be forewarned, they do not have hair dryer chairs in this salon. No heat whatsoever was used in the application of my color. Nor did the owner ever check the foils to see how the color was processing. Nor was any gloss or conditioner left on my hair post color that I am aware of. I'd asked for natural looking highlights, replicating what I already had. The color I have now is way too light, is wrong for my skin tone, would require frequent upkeep, and is dry and brittle. \r \r The cut was also poor. The stylist never checked the length of one against the other for evenness. She did not check her lines.. She sent me home without my hair well styled and still slightly damp. I cancelled the rest of my errands because my hair looked embarassing. I've never come out of a salon this way.\r \r more

Relaxing and Enjoyable Salon 4/2/2008

If you love Aveda products then you will love Asante and it's staff! You will get your complimentary hand ,shoulder, or scalp massage each visit and will be guarenteed to learn the products the stylists use on your hair. I recommend this salon to clients who enjoy a calming and relaxing environment. There is always a candle burning and delicious smells of tea or Aveda products. One reason I keep coming back is that the stylists are personable and friendly. Also depending on my mood, the stylist gives me the style that fits and color that not only lasts but also is trendy and fashionable. I am pleased to say that this salon is not the gossiping type! I hate those salons that you can over hear a stylist and client from 5 chairs over...be assured that you can feel comfortable and open with your stylist! Happy staff, Great customer service 4/1/2008

I have gone to Asante Salon for almost a year now. Every time I go there, I am greeted by very friendly staff who offer me tea, coffee or water, and genuinely care about my comfort. I get color and haircuts and have gone to a few of the stylists, since my schedule doesn't permit me to pre-book. They all gave me a great color and cut. I recommended Asante to a few friends, and they now go there as well and are very happy with it. I was puzzled about the negative postings that mention that no one smiles and they are not friendly - I have never found this to be true. The customer service has always been great. I went to salon Asante recommended by a friend who for many years had problems finding a good hairdresser. I saw her the day after she went to have her hair done by a very experience hair designer she met at Asante, she was speechless of how incredibly talented this artist was not to mention how kind she found he was in the way he treats everybody. So i decided i want to know what this was all about and made an appointment with Fernando. My husband never makes any comment when i return from the hair salon, well that afternoon, after my visit to Fernando at Asante, my husband said i have not looked so pretty since the day we got married. Yes i highly recommend, if you want to have a great experience hair wise, to stop at Salon Asante and let them treat you whether for a simple trim or a total makeover, i am sure you will have a great time with all of them. \r Rachel more

This is a salon that delivers personalized service in a calm and relaxing environment. I have been a client of Liza's for almost two years and have consistently received cuts and color that fit my lifestyle and personality. I initially went to Liza because I am a huge fan of Aveda products and was interested in their hair color. It's fabulous! My hair looks and feels healthy, and I frequently receive compliments on the natural-looking custom color. Plus, I feel good about supporting a company that is environmentally conscious. I would highly recommend Asante Salon. I had got a brutal cut a different salon (no names, please). I went to Asante to see if they could do anything to fix it. Not only did they fix it, but it turned out to be the best cut I have ever recieved! more

I have been a client of Liza's for about 2 years now, and I honestly wouldn't go anywhere else for my cut and color. I'm very picky as to wanting a "natural" looking color, and Liza always delivers. Pros: Easy parking, convenient location. more

Great Salon 12/20/2007

I started seeing Nihad while he was working at a Salon in Kent. I can not say enough about what a wonderful stylist he is. He is a true perfectionist, especially when it comes to straightening your hair; he does a killer job with a flat iron! When I first went to him, my hair was platinum blond and he effortlessly took me back to my natural brunette color and my hair has never been healthier. Not only is he an amazing stylist; he is wonderful person and friend. You will not be disappointed when he is finished with your hair. Pros: Great Stylists and Atmosphere Cons: NONE more

\r \r I love the Asante Salon. Liza and the team at Asante are very friendly and the atmosphere is calming and nurturing. It's refreshing to spend time in a salon that is ""green"" friendly. Liza has created a wonderful, natural color blend for my hair - I always get compliments, and she is very considerate about styling my hair in a way that is pleasing to me. Plus, she's very considerate of my chemical sensitivities and neck injury. She cares for me personally, as well as making my hair beautiful. Fantastic color & cut on the Eastside 12/18/2007

Found this salon on the passport discounts site and after reading the reviews, I decided to try it out. Nihad was phenomenal! With my Asian hair, highlights usually turn out bright blond or brassy... somewhat unnatural. But Nihad understood what I meant by "subtle" and did a great job in giving me sophisticated highlights / lowlights without sitting under a dryer to correct what I got at another salon. His cut sits very well with my face - long layers that hang well whether you dry your hair or not. Pros: Great service, plenty of parking, convenient Eastside location, takes passport / prime card Cons: Aveda isn't my favorite product line more

The best there is 12/15/2007

I've never had a steady stylist in my entire life until I met Nihad. That was a few years ago and I haven't been to anyone else ever since. He has become a genuine friend and his amazing talents are so great that I don't even have to tell him what I want anymore, he just always seems to know. I've had some traumatic salon experiences in the past so it's nice to finally have someone I can rely on, especially because my hair type is hard to manage. I will definitely be a customer for life. Nihad at Asante Salon is a master of cut and color 12/12/2007

Let's face it - I have the original bushy blonde hairdo. It is long, thick and very hard to manage. I drive all the way from Kent to the Asante Salon in Redmond for my secret weapon- Nihad! He is the master of cut and color. I go out of there looking great every time (if I do say so myself.) Not only do I look good but I feel like I have had a chance to spend two hours with a warm friend, Nihad, who is one of the most genuine people I have ever met. The salon is lovely, the entire staff extremely nice - the energy is consistently good. Their Aveda products are among the best for the environment and for chemically sensitive people like me. I cannot say enough that is positive about Asante Salon. I will be making that drive and trusting Nihad with my bushy head of hair for many years to come. Did I mention that Nihad's prices are fair- he is actually worth more than he charges. Highly recommended. Pros: Excellent products, first rate haircare, exceptionally friendly and inclusive. I felt pampered! Cons: The only way to improve is to be closer to my home! more

Great Aveda hair salon 11/19/2007

Liza has created a stylish, classy salon that is relaxing and peaceful as well as being the best place on the Eastside to get a fabulous Aveda hair style and/or color. I have been using Aveda products for years, and Liza has been my stylist for over three years. She is personable and talented and knows the Aveda products very well. I highly recommend this salon. Best Hair Salon on the East Side! 11/15/2007

This is a great salon, the atmosphere is nice and the service is excellent - top of the line Aveda products, and speedy service. I moved here last year and tried 6 different hair salons before finding Assante - I have been there three times and will continue to go back - every haircut is outstanding - and the color works excellent on my very resistant grey. The people here are kind and friendly and do a terrific job - I HIGHLY recommend Asante Salon! Pros: Value, location, parking is easy. Cons: Can't think of any! more
