I went to this salon because of its great reviews and I was not disappointed. Marcus gave me the best color I have ever had... and my hair is difficult to color. It's long, black, thick and has a tendency to be very brassy if someone does not know what they are doing. Not only was my color great, but my cut was too. I asked for a ""Victoria Secret"" hair cut and that's what he gave me. I walked out feeling so beautiful. His work was worth every penny. Thank you so much Marcus! Marisa Barrett is my stylist now of five years. When I first met her I was using hair dye from Walgreens(and it showed). She was the only one who lnew how to salvage my hair and get it to a normal natural shade. Not only do I love my hair now, all of my friends have been going to her for about four years. I get my haircut from Marcus D’Ambrosio every six weeks. This has been the only stylist who has taken the time to talk to me about exactly how I want my hairstyle to look and what I may want to do with it in the future. Apart from being an awesome stylist, Marcus is also amazing at dyeing hair. The salon has a great feel and the other stylists are so very friendly! It’s no wonder why they got best in the city! more

I used to have what my mother called, ""mousey brown"" hair color, so I decided to have something done about it. The first time I had my hair highlighted it was with Laurie. That was about 8 years ago and I have stayed with her since. I wouldn't think to go to anybody else. I have gone from highlights to lowlights and Laurie does a fantastic job every time. I have lived in Albuq. for almost 6 years now and after searching different salons I was recommended to Laurie Hall by a co-worker. (i have admired her hair for some time now) finally asked her who does her color and she gave me her card. I was so pleased when I met her, she is so friendly and funny! She listened to what I wanted and gave me some suggestions that I have never even thought of. After i had my hair colored I looked like a whole new person. My hair was full of life again!!! After losing my favorite stylist to California, I spent three years looking for a replacement at what were supposed to be the best salons in Albuquerque. This resulted in with a lot of disappointment and some VERY bad haircuts. Finally, I tried Artistic Creations after reading the reviews on this site. I got an appointment with Amy Sandoval. Amy listened to what I wanted and gave me exactly the cut and highlight color I was hoping for, under the circumstance of working with the results of a VERY bad cut and color from my last salon experience. I was so happy with her that I was afraid it could not last-- but after 3 visits now I can report that Amy is fantastic at listening, takes criticism (what little I have ever had) well, is flexible, has a great sense of color, and is generally pleasant and easy to talk to. On my third visit she took the time to give me a tutorial on blow-drying--something I have had stylists do on the first visit, but never on return visits. The salon is nowhere near my work or home, but I am happy to go out of my way. The salon does not look as trendy as I am used to, but there is a genuine camaraderie among the stylists that made my visits especially enjoyable.I would also say that prices, while not cheap, are definitely fair for the quality of service. I have paid more for far less! I would recommend Amy to anyone who wants a top-notch stylist. Pros: excellent cut, color, atmosphere fair prices Cons: need better selection of styling products more

That's when I met Maria - right then and there she took the time to give me a color and style consult. I was still skeptical but made an appointment - one of the best things I've done for myself in a long time.
