This place is loud with thumping music,.noisy, and the staff,..all of them,..seem preoccupied with something. Or disintersted. I don't know what everyone else finds so great about this place,..but my color and cut were awful. Lately I've been noticing a lot of colorists being too lazy to highlight long hair,..so they do an allover color and 2 or 3 highlites in the front,...yeah. That's not what I wanted,..I made it very, very clear what I wanted. When I find a colorist that actually wants to put in the effort that I pay for,..I'll go there. Pros: none Cons: no parking, busy area, club atmosphere more

Never Again 6/5/2005

I went to Art + Science last week and was not impressed at all. The staff was snooty and I felt like I was a burden to be there. I waited a half hour past my appointment and then the stylist rushed through my cut. I was not impressed with the work and I ended up having to go to another salon to have my cut fixed. I will never go there again and wouldn't recommend it to anyone else. more

Art + Science is one of the best salons here in Evanston. The staff is friendly, knowledgable and truely professional. From color to cut they do it with ease and style. Enjoy the hip environment, and walk out with a smile after your treatment. I've gotten my hair cut and highlighted hear and continue to get tons of compliments from people. Dominique is a true artist unrivaled in Chicago...or the midwest for that matter. She always makes my hair look awesome--and who could resist that accent. You can pay double or even triple the prices at snooty downtown salons for half the quality of haircuts. The hipster staff is always friendly and they always seem to make me feel more than welcome!!! Pros: TRUE ARTISTS, good products, great peoplewatching Cons: parking more
