I'm all for preserving history, but this hotel needs major renovating. Many of the fixtures look original and are stained with wear or rust, the walls/doors are thin so you can hear people in the next room cough and workers in the hall as if they were in the room with you. The bed was so stiff that my husband and I both woke up with a backache. I expected a charming well-kept hotel and was very disappointed. The service also leaves a lot to be desired. Pros: Weekend entertainment Cons: Run-down, Poor service more

My favorite hotel ever!!! 11/16/2005

The Arlington is the greatest old hotel I have ever stayed in. It is located right in the middle of downtown hotel and has all the charm that I'm sure it had MANY years ago when it was new. It has a huge lobby/ballroom that is beautiful. They have a band playing and dancing in the lobby on the weekends. The bar is also located right in the lobby, so you don't have to hole up in a corner. The rooms are typically small but they have high ceilings and antique furniture in all. The bathrooms have the original marble floor and showers and some rooms have "hot springs" water piped into them. This is a great place to go for relaxation and ambiance!! more

It's "Historic" 11/15/2005

If you are looking for the historic aspect of Hot Springs and bathhouses, this is as good as it gets. Not much for modern amenities, which I can appreciate as if you are doing the bathhouse thing, you want it to be as close to the good ol' days as you can. Not the cleanest, but 50+ years of this will have that effect on it. more

Excellent Brunch 10/20/2005

My in-laws stayed here while visiting and we joined them for the brunch one day. They loved the hotel (and they travel extensively) - said it was comfortable and the service excellent. The brunch was typical but very good - well prepared. more

Great Old Tyme Historic Hotel 6/8/2005

Wonderful full service hotel in the heart of history, downtown Hot Springs! Great knowing staff, wonderful bath house services (try the spa!) and what a excellent menu provided by Chef Jody. Be sure to try the Sunday Brunch. more

Hotel, Spa, Band, Hot Tub 5/18/2005

The Arlington offers historical romance in downton Hot Springs. Rooms, however, are very small. They do have a pool and hot tub for guests. The SPa Treatment is mediocre. A band plays on Friday and Saturday Nites and is good. more
