I'm all for preserving history, but this hotel needs major renovating. Many of the fixtures look original and are stained with wear or rust, the walls/doors are thin so you can hear people in the next room cough and workers in the hall as if they were in the room with you. The bed was so stiff that my husband and I both woke up with a backache. I expected a charming well-kept hotel and was very disappointed. The service also leaves a lot to be desired.
Pros: Weekend entertainment
Cons: Run-down, Poor service
