I really try to support and purchase from local, family-owed establishments. I gave Arlington Camera a shot by purchasing accessories initially before making a large purchase. I was stunned by the "off hand" comments made toward me...and honestly should have left the store. I regret staying AND making a purchase. The $205.51 spent on 12/12/13 will be my last transaction and appearance there. There are MANY other establishments that are eager to respect the customer. more

I am a full-time professional photographer who has used Arlington camera for over two decades. I make a 30 minute drive past several other camera stores to shop at Arlington Camera. Bill and his staff are the best! They buy your old gear, they sell new and used equipment They let you try most products before you buy. Try that with B&H, Amazon, etc. They also have a very knowledgeable staff, with decades of photo experience. Try to get that kind of knowledge at your Wal-mart, or Best Buy. After you purchase something, you can always come back and they will help you with any issues you have. Try that with your on-line, out of state purchase. Also, their inventory is incredible. Digital/film, stills/video/audio, Software/hardware, educational videos and books. Rental equipment as well. Are they perfect? No. But I've never heard of a complaint that wasn't resolved in a favorable way. Arlington Camera also has competitive prices. Bill is also the best supporter of the local photographic community. Ask any full-time pro. Arlington Camera is a photographer's candy store. Another great thing about Arlington Camera is that their sales staff are not on commission. At least I don't think they are. I've never felt any hard-sell, or have them twist my arm toward an off brand product like some camera stores. When I saw the unfavorable comments here, I was shocked. I'm also not so sure that they were actual customers. A competitor maybe? BTW, I know Arl. Camera ships products out of state on a regular basis. more

Called to ask about flashes for my new Canon T2i, and they were very helpful answering all my questions thoroughly. She also answered questions about lenses and made suggestions for others I might like! more

Very good 8/22/2010

I really wanted to get the tokina 16-50mm lens it said it was in stock online. I ordered it on a holiday but the very next day early in the morning i got an email saying that they do not have the lens in stock and are sorry for the mix up and understand if i would like to go else where. This lens is back ordered everywhere so i decide to stay. They stayed in contact with me every week on updates on this lens. Even though i switched my order to the tokina 11-16 lens because after waiting a month there still are no 16-50 anywhere. They tried really hard to get me this lens even though none were getting out. even switching orders was not difficult and the new lens was shipped right away. They know what they are doing and their customer service is amazing. I even got a call from the person who was helping me telling me that she was going away and was still trying to get the lens but that she will be checking emails but may not be in contact often for a couple of days. Those who say they lie or have bad customer service must have dealt with someone else or did not read there terms correctly. Good business and good deals may be a bit more then competing sites but there is a real person to talk to and not some donotreply email and it is a local business and we need to keep them alive more

Best in Tarrant County 2/11/2010

Good: Great selection, really good customer service. Knowledgable staff.. Bad: can be crowded, prices could be a bit lower, especially on used gear. Rental rates too high.. Improvements: lower rental rates, longer store hours, better prices.. Other: Cant stand fw camera...thanks to Arlington Camera, I don't have to drive to Dallas.. more

Read the other reviews. I too caught them in lie after lie. Very poor experience, caught them in non-stop lies. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! more

Poor Customer Service 10/30/2006

Its a really pathetic shop filled with liars who tell you stories like UPS cannot deliver large packages to apartments. You have to own a home to buy stuff from Arlington Camera. They could have been more upfront and told that they cannot sell to out of state customers. What a bunch of losers!!! more

Picture Perfect 9/29/2005

I was tired of looking at cameras at the large chain stores because the clerks had no idea about them so I went to Arlington Camera. I was (and still am) impressed with how much the staff knew about each camera. They took their time showing me 5 cameras and letting me try them out. I ended up with a great camera that I love. They also have accessories and film. If you are looking for a camera - this is the place for you! The prices are very comparable to those large chain stores too and they often run sales! more

This place is awesome. I would say the best thing about this place is the fact the employees are extremely knowledgable and they can definitely help you find the camera for your exact needs. Another big plus is that they buy back old cameras as well, so you can get some bucks off of your new one. They also have a great selection as well. more

If you're like me, you get frustrated by dozens of cameras behind glass cases that you can't touch, and a staff that is hard to find and does not know anything about cameras. That's what I find at mega electronics stores. At Arlington Camera, the staff is ready to assist you and can explain the features of many different types of cameras and equipment. It's great. more
