Best

The food here in Aria Restaurant is very delicious and the ambiance is great. I would suggest this restaurant to anyone.

Worst

My spouse and myself went to Aria for a special celebration after the reading the outstanding reviews that the restaurant had and were truely disapointed. We were seated 30 minute...

Waste of time and money. 2/12/2007

First, of all, we placed a reservation shortly after lunch this past Friday to dine here at 7:45 pm. I expect that with a reservation I need to be sat when I come in. If not, then, within 15 minutes. Instead, we weren't sat until 8:30. The hostess was a ditz and of no help. more

Nothing Special to Aria 1/13/2007

I am starting to think that most people in Atlanta are easily impressed with restaurants here. Our dinner at Aria was good, but nothing special and certainly nothing to rave about. The lamb tenderloin starter was good, but nothing I have not had at several other restautants. Ditto with the pork entree. The warm cheesecake dessert, which was billed as Atlanta's best dessert for the last six years, was OK but nothing special. Nothing wowed us at all. Given the high prices, we will avoid this overpriced, underwhelming establishment from now on. The service was attentive, but nothing that I would not expect at a restaurant of a similar pricepoint. Overall disappointing given the high expectations. Cons: High prices and underwhelming food quality more

Excellent Eatery 11/15/2006

A few friends and I went to Aria for dinner, and we had an amazing experience. The food was all good, from the ravioli appetizer to the perfectly prepared trout. The wines were also excellent. The service was a bit slow, but not unattentive. The ambience is fantastic; beautiful artwork graces the walls throughout the restaurant. Definitely go to Aria! more

Best Dining Experience In Atlanta 11/6/2006

I was thoroughly impressed with Aria... everything - service, food, ambience, parking, and location were excellent! Aria is a perfect first date place... the food is amazing! Pros: food, food, and food! Cons: absolutely nothing! more

Very romantic 11/1/2006

This place is very cozy and great for an intimate dinner. The patio was great when the weather is nice and the food was amazing too. more

Our Favorite Atlanta Restaurant, YUMMM!! 10/3/2006

We started coming to Aria a little over a year ago and we were wowed from the start. The service and food just can't be beat. We had another incredible experience at Aria the past Friday night. We started with a bottle form the well chosen list. A Ponzi, Pinot Gris which was sublime. I had the Wild Mushroom Soup with Black Truffle Custard. It blew my mind. Two of my other dining companions had the Warm Lobster Cocktail, I had it before and recomended they try it. The smiles couldn't be wiped off they're faces. My wife had the Crisped Prawns, they were enormous. For entree's I had the Snapper with avocdo and papaya which was probably the best thing I've had all year. we also had the Short Rib of Beef (always very good) the Slow Roasted Pork (ditto) and the Black Sable Fish which are waiter had strongly recommended, my wife is not a big fan cilantro, but I think she is now. They're desserts are the best in town but we only had room for two. The Georgia Apple Tart with Caramel Ice Cream was fab and the Chocolate Cream Pie which we've had before was as good as we remember. Aria is probably our favorite restaurant in town, we also love Bacchanalia. Pros: Food, Service Cons: You have to call so far in advance for that 8:00 Saturday reservation more

Outstanding! 8/15/2006

The best restaurant in Atlanta! The food is wonderful... unbelievable! The presentation flawless, and the combination of food/flavors delicious! more

Nicely done 6/22/2006

Popped in on a Wednesday with my usual dinner pal, although the it was a slow starter it finished nicely. The bar area's sofa aren't very comfy, but the leather wall gave her decorating ideas. They did give a menu while we waited to speed our pleasure which was a nice touch, and jazz they pipe in added a little spark to the evening. Pros: Nice decor and ambience, complimentary valet, relatively large menu Cons: Drink prices are very premium more

Disappointed 5/15/2006

This was my first visit to Aria and probably my last. We had reservations for a Tuesday evening and still waited in the bar for 30 minutes before we were seated. the food was OK that's best i can say. I had alaskian halibut which was prepared well, but was unforgettable. my date is vegetarian and i was so surprised to see that they do not accommodate vegetarians. The waiter asked if he wanted a steamed vegi plate ( heah) thats why we eat at a nice upscale restaurant, to eat a stemaed vegi plate! One thing that was positive was the desserts, they were outstanding!!! Pros: dessert, atmosphere Cons: value, food quality, no vegetarian food more

Best food in Atlanta 4/29/2006

We had heard so much about Aria I was afraid there was no way this restaurant could live up to all the hype. However it exceeded our expectations! The room was an interesting dynamic between traditional classic architectural detailing and modern slick lighting and finishes. As an Architect, I loved it! My husband ordered the lamb and I ordered the alaskan halibut. My husbands lamb bursted with wonderful flavor. My halibut was light and fresh and wonderful. The combination of the mushrooms, snowpeas, mashed potatoes and the fish was fantastic. For dessert I had the warm chocolate cheesecake and my husband had the boston cream pie. Both were incredible, but after many many tastes, we concluded that while the boston cream pie was the best boston we've had, the cheesecake won. It was sex on a plate, it was incredible! Pros: Incredible food, Great Service, Unique Ambiance Cons: Not cheap more

Always Excellent 3/18/2006

Aria is one of those restaurants where you always know you'll have a great dining experience. I have been there at least 30 times over the many years it has been open and not been disappointed once. I've been on dates, for business, and with friends. There is a reason that it is listed as one of Atlanta's top 10 restaurants. Because it is! more

Too pricey for just adequate 2/11/2006

My husband & I went for Valentines Day after a nice experience here last year at a work dinner. We both came away feeling unimpressed and dissappointed. The waiter was slow to greet us, then brought me white wine even though I ordered a cabernet (was he even listening?). He was flat out rude when he realized we were not ordering 3 courses, just entrees & dessert. The food was very good - my pork was wonderful but my husbands' short ribs were just OK. Dessert was wonderful; the pound cake is amazing! But our cappucinos came out well before the dessert so we had finished them when our dessert showed up. So much for coffee WITH dessert. We agree that for our money, Aria was not the place to go and there are too many other nice restaurants in Atlanta where we have better experiences. Pros: Entrees, Ambiance Cons: Rude service, Poor timing of meal, Poor value for food more

Not so great 2/9/2006

Aria makes too many mistakes to be in this price range. Service was way too pushy and rushed. The dining room is a very bland white on white with nothing very distinctive about it, although the small bar area at the entrance was nicely designed. The food is good. Lobster on broccoli and potato puree was excellent and the foi gras was expertly made. The entrees are not as creative and you could easily get them at many other restaurants in town. Overall there are many other restaurants that I would rather spend my time and money at. Pros: Appetizers, Desserts Cons: Rushed service, Entrees, Dining Room more

LOVED IT! 8/25/2005

My husband took me here for my birthday and it was great. Although we had reservations, we still had a short wait, but that just happens in restaurants sometimes. The bar was cool and provided GREAT people watching. Our food was fabulous and the service was attentive but not hovering. A little slow on refills, but it was a busy night. It was a costly dinner, but worth it and I recommend the short ribs, they were phenomenal. Pros: Food, location Cons: Noisy more

Aria 8/15/2005

Dined here about 3 times now and I am going back this weekend. I have never had one complaint about Aria. I recommend the restaruant to anyone that I come across when conversating about dining. I have had meals at resturaunts all over Atlanta and I always come back to Aria because I know it is going to be the best. I am a young kid and I save up just to go back and dine there. I love it and so does my girlfriend. Go get the Young Jeezy album. Try the scallops, but you HAVE to try the seared tuna. Everyone needs to try this place at least once. You can not find anything on the menu that is unsatisfying. Pros: Food, Service more

unpretentious dining 6/15/2005

very nice ambiance. unpretentious attentive service. good wine selection, although Spain was absent, much to my dismay. The dining room is a little loud, but not annoying. we had pan seared scallops with corn succotash, mushroom ravioli with sauteed beef, thin roasted lamb for apps. duck breast, filet mignon, and slow cooked Neiman pork in balsamic and port for mains. all were very good. very memorable was the cous cous with star anise and lemon zest. Light and fluffy. Dessert was a chocolate pot de creme (share this with two, or die) and warm light chocolate cheese cake. Both were painfully delicious. well done. Pros: food, service, ambiance Cons: missing Spain in wine more

Great Food, Great Service 5/11/2005

This was my first time at Aria, I ate there on a Wednesday night. It is a very cool space. Very good service overall - friendly hostess, attentive lounge server, the waiter was attentive, did not rush us, and the sommelier was great - very knowledgeable. The food was great especially the lamb loin appetizer. The porcini mushroom ravioli was also very good. For our entrees we had the Tuna with Bok Choy and the Chicken with Goat Cheese both were very good. For dessert we had the Warm Chocolate Cheesecake, which was a little underwhelming. All in all I would go back. The only negative was the lounge the seats are a little uncomfortable, and the linen sofas were a little dirty feeling. Pros: Service, Wine List, Food Cons: Lounge Seats more

Best In Show 1/5/2005

As an avid Aria consumer, I freguent the restaurant on a fairly regular basis. I'm happy to report that Aria maintains it's elite dining status in both function and form. ""Consistent"" is a word diners don't often hear, and editors often omit when characterizing a restaurant. But I can assure you Aria goes above and beyond to fill it's 4 star dining shoes. The food- Amazing. Hearty comfort food at it's best! The service- Outstanding and very attentive. However I must admit I missed being greeted by my favorite Hostess Megan. The ambiance is truly extraordinary, untouched by anywhere else in the city. I could not ask for a better dining experience anywhere. Whether it's taking clients to an early dinner or having a romantic evening with that speacil someone- Aria wins the blue ribbon for Best In Show! Pros: Warm, Inviting Staff, Reliable Valet, Excelent Bartender more

Night out 5/29/2004

I would not say that I had a terrible experience at Aria, but it was not good. The server took a very long time to greet us, was short and arrogant, brought us the wrong wine, and was incredibly unattentive. (I had to retrieve the bottle, chilling several feet from us, for refills). But the food was probably where I was the most dissappointed. When you pay for a meal at a place like Aria you expect certain things, such as temperature and kitchen techniques to be performed correctly. My duck entree (ordered Medium Rare) was cooked medium well (if not closer to well) and the subcutaneous fat was very poorly rendered. The skin was chewy and unappetizing. The dish also came with a dumpling (I am not exactly sure what they called it) made from duck confit. It was unbalanced and not at all good. Pros: Decor, parking/location Cons: , $$$$$$, overall experience more

romantic restaurant 9/10/2003

Aria is a dining experience unlike any other that I have enjoyed. Reservations are a must as this is a busy place almost any night of the week. The food is perfect as well as the service. The staff is friendly and experienced at what they do. The ambience is delightful! My compliments to the chef Gerry! Pros: service, decor, romantic Cons: limited parking/Valet more
