I can't say enough good things about Arboretum Eye Pros and Dr. Fadel. I had been going to another optometrist (who shall remain nameless) for several years, and they were OK...but why settle for just OK? Now that I've found Dr. Fadel, I'll never leave! I've worn glasses and/or contacts for about 20 years. I was used to the same old ""eye doctor routine"" and when I went in to see Dr. Fadel, I could tell this experience would be different. Everyone, from the receptionists to the doctor himself, was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. His team of doctors (I've seen two others in his practice as well) are wonderful, too. I feel at ease and valued as a patient at every single visit. I decided I wanted to see if LASIK was an option for me, and Dr. Fadel did a thorough exam before referring me to Austin's best surgeon (but that's another review in itself!). Dr. Fadel has made more than one phone call directly to me to check on me and make sure I'm healing from my LASIK procedure. He really and truly cares about his patients and takes time out of his busy schedule to make sure they know it. If I seem overly enthusiastic about an eye doctor - it's because I am! Best eye doctor in austin! I am new to Austin and wanted to get a new contact prescription because they expire after a year. I arrived at Arboretum Eye Professionals without an appointment and Dr Sturm was able to see me right away. The office was very high tech and the front desk girls were very helpful and friendly . Dr Sturm seemed like a doctor that really cared about the patient in from of him! He didn't rush me through my exam like I was always used to and he answered my barrage of questions. I've been a difficult patient in the past with fitting contacts because of my high prescription. Dr. Sturm was patient with me and concerned that it was just right before leaving. I am 59 years old and wore glasses since I was five. It seemed like I had to get a new glasses every two to three years. In 2008, I met Dr.Emil Fadel and explained to him that my progressive lenses were giving me headaches. After a complete examination, Dr. Fadel asked if I was open to Lasik surgery. He was very concerned about my eye sight to mention this. My glasses have always been very thick and heavy on my nose. Because of an eye infection back in the 70's, I have been unable to wear contacts. His examination was so good, that the Lasik's surgeon said that I will have perfect eye sight when my surgery is done. It was PERFECT! I not only can see long distant, but I am also able to do intricate work without any visual aids like a magnifying glass or glasses. Dr. Fadel was not only there for my surgery, he continues to monitor my eye sight about every three months since. His personal concern for my eye sight at my age tells me that he cares about every patient he examines. His constant contact shows that he has sincere sincerity I would recommend him to anyone that needs an eye exam in austin. My perfect eye sight is accredited to his skills. I live in the Rio Grande Valley. He calls and personally calls me about my sight. I would travel to Austin to see him at the Arboretum eye professionals. I recommand this austin eye doctor to all. I have finally found quality eye care services in Austin! Dr. Fadel and his staff are excellent. Anytime that I need to see Dr. Fadel, they are able to quickly schedule me in to see him. Once in his office, Dr. Fadel demonstrates expertise in finding out just what is going on with my eyes as well as spending the time to find the right match in contacts. He also makes sure to find the most affordable route with my insurance. His sense of humor and warm personality are an added bonus. As a long time wearer of contacts and someone who has terrible vision, I am so thrilled to have found Dr. Fadel, who I can trust to take care of my eyes. more
