I'm not the type to write reviews at all, and in fact this is the 1st business review I've ever written. That said, this store is a disaster! The customer service is atrocious, and I will never return. I used to work in retail years ago, and I have never seen this degree of arrogance, & lack of customer service like you'll receive at Aquarium Adventure anywhere before. They have a decent selection of overpriced livestock, but are often times infected with parasites (marine ick), or just in overall poor health. The management (specifically the owner), has NO customer service skills, and is the reason I will NEVER return. I intended to return a few sump plumbing pieces that I bought the week before, but did not fit my system (the orig associate gave me parts that did not fit together, and the pieces totaled approx $10 total), and was replacing w/ parts that did fit, and was also purchasing addtl goods that would have totaled $100. The store manager (who I've had several nasty/unprofessional experiences with in the past), refused to exchange the pieces w/o a receipt even though the price tags and bag I had them in were clearly theirs, and regardless of the fact that his associate gave me the wrong size parts. I admit I lost my temper, and called him every name under the sun, but this situation was the last straw, and I will NEVER be returning to this location. That said, there are several other marine pet stores w/ a better fish/coral selection, and the livestock is better priced (regardless of the fish club discount), in much better health, and offers a much better overall customer service experience hands down - Phishy Business 1121 N Hamilton Rd, Gahanna, 614) 471-3474, and Reef Systems Coral Farm 8459 Peter Hoover Rd, New Albany, (614) 933-8779.
