In this day and age where it is easy to get on the internet as an anonymous source and write away...I'd like to take a minute to write something good about this company, its owner and the employees that moved my daughter to Katy. First of all, the owner was more than helpful in providing us a clear, comprehensive quote and even gave us a 20% discount. A week prior to the move, Terry called my daughter to reconfirm the move and time. The day of the move, Maurio and Collin showed up BEFORE the scheduled time and moved my daughter's belongings in a very timely and efficient manner. All of her belongings were loaded and unloaded carefully and all arrived intact, unscratched and again, very efficiently. I not only recommend Apache Moving, but will back up my words with this review! It's easy to be mean-spirited and blast persons or businesses, so it's nice to write and read something nice for a change! I wish Terry and his employees the best...read and believe the good stuff! THIS IS A HUGE SCAM. IM SERIOUS. RUN AWAY. ALL the positive reviews on here are definitely fake and written by the owners themselves. I called to get my stuff moved across town, and they NEVER showed up. To be honest, im glad they didnt because, 1. they didnt scam me of my money like the other people on these reviews and 2. my stuff didnt get beat up, plus i ended up getting a friend and a uhaul and i moved most of the stuff myself. THIS IS A SCAM. Ive never been more furious with a company in my life. I dont even normally write reviews, but I felt the need to tell people to avoid this company at all costs. They deserve to be banned as a business for keeping this type of fraudulent activity going. WOW are they crap Also, I called them continously, and they said they were running behind on movers...and eventually they just stopped picking up my calls all together!! the next day they just make up some excuse which is all lies! seriously HATE HATE HATE this company. STAY AWAY IF i could make this negative 1000 stars i would. more

After speaking to a representative on the phone, he advised/convinced me that the most economically way for me to make the move would be to charge ""by the piece"" rather than by the hour. He then quoted my move cost at approximately $350. On moving day, the 2 movers showed up 2 hours late, then 1 mover said that alot of pieces would cost extra, so I decided to move them myself. Everytime I came back to get more items, I would catch them snooping thru boxes and making snide remarks about alot of my belongings. more

This place is a total scam. They ripped me off $60. When I first called to make the appointment I told them I needed a dresser and a bed moved. As the movers were moving my stuff they said.. ""Why didn't you go the per item rate instead of the minimum 2 hour rate"" What?!?!? I didn't know that was an option! When I called the company back and talked to THE OWNER, he told me that I had already agreed to the hourly rate and there was nothing they could do. No refund on the difference! So, if you decided to go with this company, clarify exactly what you need moved or they will try to scam you. more

My experience with Apache is a mixed bag. I was moving apartments in Austin and they arrived 1 1/2 late. I was the first move of the day at 8:00 in the morning so there was absolutely no excuse to be late. They said they did a long distance move the day before and arrived home late, so that is why they had trouble waking up. I would have loved to sleep an extra 1 1/2 as well ( i don't like to wake up early). I started loading up boxes in my own truck as I thought I might have to move myself. They didn't even give me a discount for the inconvenience. On their own moving contract it stated customers would be charged $35 for every 30 minutes Apache movers had to wait but what money do I get for waiting on them. A bit hypocritical. As a positive all my belongings were moved with no damage. My word of advice to others if using Apache moving is prepare for them to arrive late as the other reviews have also confirmed this. The moving team showed up 2 ? hours late. They showed up with an angry attitude and one team member seemed to avoid wanting to speak with me for the first few hours. I?m not going to go into great detail because there are always accidents and issues with moving. Showing up two ? hours late is upsetting, but it was not necessarily their fault. The previous appt. was most likely misrepresented. The bad attitude shouldn?t have happened, though. Neither should the time it took to actually move me. It was done in one load, I had everything packed, disassembled, and moved into an easy area to move (no second floor at the first location). The second location was 9 miles from the first location. After the move had gone on for 6 hours, I started instructing the movers to just dump everything in the garage and I would finish moving it. The total move time was 6 ? hours for one trailer load. I?ve done plenty of moving and hired plenty of movers and this seems excessive, especially given the circumstances of not having to disassemble/assemble any furniture or beds. I usually never write reviews esp bad ones but I felt compelled to warn people after my experience with Apache moving. They gave me a decent quote for a 3 mile move. They were supposed to show up at 2 pm. I was told they were running late after I called them at 3 something. I waited for a few more hours before they told me that it wouldn't happen that night. I had planned my entire move to be done so I'd have Sunday to unpack and somewhat set up things before getting back to work. Basically I ended up moving all my furniture with a friend's help and a truck! Awful awful moving company that does not live upto their promises! Stay away Cons: Late service, don't show up! more

First off, I very rarely write reviews. I felt compelled to leave some super feedback for Apache because they did an amazing job of getting me moved. My new place is up a steep winding drive, and they were unable to get the long moving trailer all the way up the drive. They had to park halfway up in the curve and walk up the rest of the hill. They had an extra tough move, and I really appreciate all the effort they put in. Thanks. more

My roommate and I moved into a 3rd floor apartment a little over a month ago and had pick up spots from 3 different houses. The movers had no issue with the extra stops and were very fast, yet safe. We had no damages and it was for a great price. Next time we move, we're using Apache!!! Pros: prices, friendly employees and office staff Cons: I had none!! more

I found Apache online a year ago and called them to unload my stuff, coming from out of town, into a 3rd story apartment. They sent two friendly guys who worked hard and got the job done well. I was happy with the service so I called them again when I moved locally out of the apartment and into a house. Again, they were timely, friendly, and professional - even when it started to rain. I would have been scared off if I had read all these one star reviews prior to using them the first time. However, I guess experiences vary and mine was problem free. I felt their pricing was fair as well. Pros: Fast, professional, careful, fair pricing Cons: One of the movers hurt his knee and had to leave early more

I can only speak to my experience with this HORRIBLE moving company, but the only way I can explain the huge difference between 1 star and 5 star reviews is that the company employees are writing fake reviews to cover up their AWFUL service. Believe me, you do not want to do trust these people with your belongings. After moving across the United States I decided to use a company that was suppose to be reputable. The movers left scuffs on my floor, were rude and the entire move was not a good experience. Items that could not be replaced and had no monetary value were damaged. My move was almost two weeks ago and I have not been able to take a deep breath and get over it. I do not like to cause a fuss or even complain, however, my neighbor advised that I should let everyone else know about the negative experience I had with the company. I used Apache a few months ago for a local move. They were wonderful!! On time, nothing broken or damaged and REALLY FAST! I got quotes from several different movers and Apache was hundreds of dollars cheaper!!! When i first called to speak with them before i got quotes from ANYONE i already made up my mind i wanted to use them. They are so nice and helpful and courteous! They treat you like you are a person and important instead of just another customer number like the other movers i spoke with and got quotes from. Terry and Leslie are AWESOME!I had a wonderful experience and recommended them to my mother who was moving the same week as me from San Antonio to North Austin. She used them and had a wonderful experience as well. Also the same week ,my Aunt was pricing out movers for her office and she also went with Apache and was happy with the job they did. I just recommended them again to a good friend of mine who lives on my previous street and is moving to San Antonio. She will be using them for her move as well. i will continue to reccomend them to anyone who needs a mover. They are wonderful!! you have to wonder about the people making negative comments. Did they really have a horrible experience or are they just stressed to the max like anyone else who is moving? Three of us all moved with them in the same week and we were all thrilled and had no problems!!! more

I hate a terrible experience with this moving company this weekend. First, they were literally over 9 hours late. They were supposed to be at my apartment at noon and didn't arrive until after 9 p.m. They also took 5 and a half hours to move a simple 1 bedroom apartment from Round Rock to Austin. Also, they left with my entertainment center! Not once did they even attempt to call me throughout the day. I literally called Leslie, the office employee, over 10 times trying to figure out where the movers are. Also I had to pay full price for the move which is completely unacceptable to me. I am going to dispute the charge from Visa because this type of service is simply unacceptable. Because they were so late, it messed up my delivery for my washer and dryer and my internet setup. I called Apache today to see if they would give me a discount for this nightmare. Of course they have not returned my voicemail. I should not even have to pay for the move nor do I plan to. I will tell *everyone* I know to never use this company. I've never put a negative review for any company before but my experience was so awful that I felt compelled to warn others. Thank you. Best moving company in town. They can give estimates on the phone and generally schedule you for that week. The movers are always polite and the pricing is very reasonable. I strongly recommend them. Pros: I didn't have any problems at all, used them about 4 times. more

Almost everything they moved was damaged and they couldn't care less. There was NO attempt to protect our furniture or appliances, and our valuable pieces are now scratched up, broken or dented. The agreement included charges for reconnecting the appliances, and after moving them into the house, the mover said he didn't have what was needed to connect them. The ""lead"" guy's attitude was unbelievable! I would NEVER recommend this company.
