Best

In this day and age where it is easy to get on the internet as an anonymous source and write away...I'd like to take a minute to write something good about this company, its owner...

Worst

My experience with Apache is a mixed bag. I was moving apartments in Austin and they arrived 1 1/2 late. I was the first move of the day at 8:00 in the morning so there was abso...

Damage, damage & more damages! 10/25/2006

A great deal of my stuff was damaged. Mover was totally careless. This move REALLY cost me in things that cannot be replaced. WOULD NOT recommend Apache to anyone! Make sure you read the fine print - your valuables are only worth $.60/pound to them, regardless of the replacement cost when they destroy it. Pros: none - they weren't even on time Cons: careless handling of all items, uncaring attitude more

LOTS of damage! 10/12/2006

Movers were extremely careless and had an even worse attitude. Irreplaceable items were broken, damaged and destroyed. The company owner seemed unconcerned and showed no interest in paying for all the damages. Worst moving experience ever! Pros: Leslie Cons: service, integrity, professionalism more

Thank You Apache Moving Company! 9/22/2006

My family and I had originially scheduled Greater Austin Moving to do our move because they were recommended by our neighbor. Horrible mistake!! We had to be out of our house on a Sunday (because the new owners were moving in that Monday) so they were supposed to move our things the Friday before. ""Greater Austin"" showed up in a U-Haul rental truck. Apparently, the owner of Greater Austin had contracted some random movers to move our precious belongings. So after they eyed our inventory, the ""leader"" walked out to make a phone call. After about 20 minutes he came back inside the house and said, ""We can't do this. We're not getting paid enough."" Frantic--because we had a ton of stuff that had to be out that weekend, I asked him how much how wanted us to pay for them to stay and do the job. As he was walking out my door he said, ""Sorry, we're not doing it."" I was 7 months pregnant with a toddler by my side and these guys walked out on me. I called Scott, the owner of Greater Austin to ask what just happened. He NEVER answered the phone. I continued to call and leave messages 5 more times. I never heard from him--TO THIS DAY. No apology, explanation or any attempt to return my call. Pros: Prompt, careful, great staff more

Great Moving Service 9/18/2006

Thanks so much for sending Eric (and his new partner) out to move me on March 20th. I was ready to have a nervous breakdown at the thought of moving temporarily into an apartment for the first time since 1973. I am the woman in Harris Branch whose house is tipping over with a cracking foundation. more

Worst Moving Experience I Ever Had!!! 8/14/2006

Apache was so highly rated on CitySearch, I felt really comfortable using them, until they actually showed up. They were on time, but became extremely rude once they saw that the job was bigger than they had planned. They had a very large trailer with ample room, but were completely unaccommodating and flat out refused to move some items, and tried to get out of moving as much of the rest as they possibly could. Their only concern was ""getting off work early,"" and I quote. They moved SO FAST, that I commented on it once, and then made them go slower after they dented and broke a metal filing cabnet. Every single large piece of furniture was banged around and arrived scratched. Then they tried to leave without telling me, and I had to yell at them to come back and put a door back on its hinges. I called the company on the way to Houston and complained. The movers were polite after that, but they were still careless with my belongings. They even slid a painted, wooden trunk on the concrete floor!! They called me the next day to follow up, but it was too little too late. DO NOT USE APACHE!!!! Pros: The people at the office are polite Cons: Extremely lazy movers with bad attitudes more

Dents Dings and Bangs 8/9/2006

They were fast, on-time, and a good price. But they mangled quite a few pieces of furniture. They didn't really seem to care about what they were doing. They just wanted to get the job done.... fast. They're great if you have a bunch of metal objects..like anvils or file cabinets, but anything that can be damaged will probably arrive in a new form. Pros: Fast, good price, on-time Cons: They sacrifice care for speed. Furniture. delicates are at extreme risk! more

Job Well Done 2/9/2006

Very pleasant, business-like, and handled my needs extremely efficient. They showed up on time, pleasant and professional. I recommend Apache to anyone. Pros: Professional, Friendly, On Time more

Great Moving Experience 2/9/2006

We have previously used moving companies at least eight times during the past thirty years. Our prior experiences were all with national companies, and we were concerned about possible problems with a local company. However, we were very pleased with each phase of the move in which Apache Moving was involved. The company and employees did the most efficient job and was the only move that we have experiences which resulted in absolutely no damage to our furniture and household goods. more

The Best Movers We've Ever Had! 2/9/2006

The best movers we've ever had! We have moved a lot and we have never met movers that work as hard and as fast as they do. Not one single thing was scratched or damaged. They are really polite and pleasant and we plan on using them again next time we move. more

Professional Moving Company 2/8/2006

I would like to commend all of you on a job done well. I was impressed that Apache Moving was able to come to my grandmother's home and meet us and look over her inventory. I received a bid listing the entire inventory and was giving a break down of cost per item. I was also impressed that Apache Moving provided boxes and was very helpful in assisting my grandmother on how to pack her belongings so they weren't damaged during the move. The guys were on time to the move and had her moved into her new home in less than 2 hours. I definitely would refer Apache Moving to anyone who is thinking of using a professional moving company. Thanks again! more

Great Moving Service 2/7/2006

The men were on time, they were curtious and handled my possessions as if they were their own. I dragged them to two different locations and they helped unload my roomates truck who moved here from Dallas. The price amazed me! I knew for sure I was looking at at least $500 bill. It wasn't even $400. I would recomend Apache moving to anyone. Pros: Professional, On Time more
