Amidst an array of great restaurants in Charleston, I found this one to be very average for the price as well as on a scale of culinary creativity. My wife and I had spent a week in Charleston imbibing on the wonderful history, charm and restaurants. And because of the reviews we had read, we chose this one for our last dinner. Some of these reviews must be a little dated concerning the decor (really blah) because this place was in need of a makeover; indeed far from charming, but we had a good dinner but not spectacular. My wife had the snapper and I had the trigger fish both of which were cooked well, ample in portion but nothing to be ""abuzz"" about, unless abuzz implies large portions, which they were. However, all that being said, the best experience was the service; it was excellent.
Pros: Prompt, friendly and knowledgable service
Cons: Quality, creativity and price do not match
