Annapolis Best Movers just did our move this weekend and did a great job. This moving company is top notch, great rates and excellent customer service.I was quoted on line after checking some positive reviews on Citysearch. Both of the movers were polite,fast and professional, and nice guys to boot. I was a little worried at first as took a while for the first set of items to get out the door, but my concern was misplaced as they spent their initial time in the apartment getting everything prepped. Once they got moving they moved a LOT of stuff with each trip. They did a great job and my wife and I will definitely be using Annapolis Best Movers and recommend this movers to friend and family in need for reliable movers! more

This is not a reliable, honest, or trustworthy moving company. The chaos began with a call ten minutes after the men were supposed to have arrived stating they would be late but with no explanation of why. 50 minutes after the appointment time they finally arrived and began the scam of a $75 fee that was never discussed. After calling and disputing, the fee was dropped but the moving men were, needless to say, not happy and took this out on my furniture and sanity. I watched as my mattress box was dragged across the outside pavement. 3 moving men couldn't pick up a mattress box? The men took frequent breaks to smoke & converse on their cell phones. While I'm paying by the hour, eh, not professional. Once we got to my new home, they refused to unload my furniture until I paid the estimated amount. It wasn't going to take as long as the estimate, a whole hour less! They demanded $85 more than what they worked. What a scam. My new home got a hole in the wall from a piece of my furniture being banged into it. My kitchen table was broken to the point of needing a new piece of wood to make it functional again. I'll probably just have to buy a whole new table. So I call the number to complain, guess what? They don't want to hear about what horrible people they have working for them! They either don't pick up the phone or hang up on me once I start explaining the situation. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. If you read the 5 star reviews listed previously you'll notice how they were all posted on the same date...hmm, highly suspicious. Do not use this moving company unless you enjoy being scammed, like to patch holes in your walls, love to have your furniture treated like trash, or wish to experience the lack of humanity in people. Back in June the contract in my apartment was about to expire so I was looking for a good moving company. I researched sometime in the internet, yellow pages etc. After calling a few, I realized that the lady from the customer service agent from this company was different than the others I called before. Always friendly, had an answer for all my questions or at least knew who to ask or where to look for it a.s.a.p. The price the offered me for my 2 bedroom move was way lower than the other estimates I got so far so I decided to schedule the move. The night before I received a call from the manager to verify one last time the pick-up address and the direction of the destination so that everything would work fine. The move was scheduled for 8.30am and the movers already arrived with 3 guys at 8.10am so we won a little time thanks the early arrival. They packed and loaded my stuff really quick and you could see immediately that they knew what they were doing. At the destination the unwrapped and unloaded my stuff and put them in the decided places, all this really quick and professional. After I had my stuff and was able to verify that nothing got damaged I paid the bill in the easiest manner with my Visa card. All in all I can say that it was a very good choice to hire this guys! Friendly stuff, fast work, best price and skillful movers. Communications was also great, so I can recommend these guys without any doubts at all! Thanks for the great job! more

I heard about Annapolis Best Movers (410) 702-5688 from a co-worker who had moved from Annapolis, MD to Annapolis. She recommended them because she had a lot of antiques and they didn't scratch or break a thing. I had some antiques as well, and thought that it would be worth it to give them a try. The price was slightly higher than other movers. The appraiser who called was very professional and caring--he even offered to help me get rid of things that I decided I didn't want to take with me. The men who came to move me out finished the job in just over 3 hours, and were within the days they estimated for delivery. One man did the entire inventory, and the other did all the lifting. The only thing I didn't like was that there was only one man doing the labor, I didn't like seeing my 150 year old kitchen table hoisted over his back. It scared me that he would drop it. But in the end nothing was broken or scratched. I packed my own things, so I can't give an opinion on the packing service. I can tell you from personal experience that this is a top notch company that actually does what they say they will do when they say it. more

I've moved 3 times in the past, most of the time with different companies but I just had the best move in my life on the last week with this one. They gave us a very accurate estimate over the phone and help us plan our move. Soon their local dispatch called us and confirmed the job and went over the details. He also seemed very polite and professional, and assured us everything is going as it planed and the movers will come tomorrow @ 9 am. Not only did they show up on time but they packed nearly our entire apartment. Shortly after arriving, the Forman provided us with detailed information about the day and they started to work right away. Thank god they came with extra boxes and moving supplies and actually that we didn't even realize we will be needed! The packing obviously took much longer but once we arrived at our house they unpacked us in record time and even help us to reassemble some of our furniture. This was a painless move and really had a great time with the movers. The guys were very nice and honest and they couldn’t make the move faster and more efficient and I must say, we were extremely pleased with their service. Very fast, friendly and efficient and very professional company which I wouldn't hesitate to use again and highly recommend to everybody! more

Score: 5-stars++. Excellent, Highly recommended! I communicated with the manager over the phone and email. He “architected” the entire move and helped me with couple of “money saving” advises (because it was my first move). Professional communication; excellent responsiveness. The moving team: Vlad (fluent with both Russian and Romanian) and George. The team arrived 5 minute before the scheduled time. Assessed the actual volume in 5 min and accomplished the entire move in 5 hours with zero interference from my side. Both guys worked as “wrapping-packing-moving-unwrapping” machines! Extremely impressive! I was really happy that I decided to hire them instead of doing this move myself (what I actually considered after reading all negativities about moving companies in this and couple of other forums). Bottom line: I would recommend these guys to anyone! Comments: a) Don’t save on wrapping the furniture even if you move around the corner. Let the team to wrap everything in blankets and fix it with scotch tape, - walls in your new place may say “thank you” for that. b) In my opinion it is physically impossible for 2 movers to pack furniture only in 2-bed rooms apartment in 2 hours. 3 hours for packing should be used for estimation. c) Ask the customer service about pricelist for expenses you may have along the way (like scotch tape or boxes). It is good to know about them when you are budgeting your move. more

We've moved several times over the years and used different companies; this company definitely was the best of the moving companies in every way. They were friendly over the phone and in person when the moving crew showed up; even though it was over 100 degrees, they didn't slow down or show any signs of wear. The move was a big one and we ordered full packing and unpacking service which they called white glove service and we HIGHLY recommend that service if you can. In our new home there were a few issues due to the parking and streets, their truck which was huge could not fit or even get within any reasonable walking distance had to park several miles away at a shopping center and they had to rent a smaller truck from Budget in order to deliver our furniture and boxes. They told us from the start that it may be a problem but we hoped and prayed for the best. The rental and parking situation put our delivery back a full day and even though their dispatcher Steven had already reserved a back-up rental, when James arrived to pick it up, they informed him that they didn't have it available and apologized and his dispatch then had to hunt down another rental truck which took hours and then finding a place to park this tremendous truck and trailer took another hour or so. We decided due to the size of our shipment to just start the next morning early instead of starting at 4:00 in the afternoon. No other hitches or delays or damages from then on. We appreciate everything their stuff did for us to alleviate any stresses associated with moving. They did an outstanding job and we will refer many other families to them. All in all great service, cheap rates, friendly customer service and very professional movers! more

This was the best move I realized in the last few years! Annapolis Best Movers provided a great customer service. The communication was excellent. They arrived 10min earlier than scheduled. My stuff arrived in perfect condition on my new play and all that to a very economic prize. I just can recommend Annapolis Best Movers to anybody that needs to move in the near future! Nigel was very professional over the phone when I was in the booking process and answered most of my questions for me before I even had to ask which I appreciated and once I booked my move with Annapolis Best Movers, MD everything from there was handled in a professional manner also. When the actual movers showed up in the afternoon of my moving date they took care of me and put me at ease knowing that my stuff would arrive in Annapolis and I was in good hands. Robert the driver was very nice and the movers were very happy with the fact that we bought them pizza and drinks at lunchtime. We used this Annapolis, MD moving service company based entirely on this site and the comments left here, and so I wanted to leave a rave review here for our recent move to Delaware. My company was paying for the service, the $1260 price quote came in under that amount, and I liked the way I was treated and our communication with Janet, so we booked them for our long distance move. Their staff arrived 15 minutes early and loaded our third-floor two-bedroom apartment in about 3 hours. They were very careful with everything, and dealt with care and really well with our furniture. The amount they could haul was amazing! We met them in the city and they sent an extra guy to help with the unload, which made it a lot quicker considering the small elevator. The unload took about 2.5 hours, so the whole day (load, drive, unload) took 12 hours. They came in a little over the estimate, but we paid the capped rate and we gave just over a $250 tip. We really liked their help from the customer service, and their rates and the pricing policy. The guys were all very nice, friendly, and professional. We definitely plan to use them again if possible in future moves. more

We were moving our furniture from our house to a storage unit in the same neighborhood last month. We decided to hire this local moving service company based on our previous experience with these guys in 2009. We were extremely pleased with the help we've got from their Customer Service lady. The entire stuff including our moving crew and the Office staff were courteous, professional, and worked very hard, helping us to schedule our relocation and the movers for carrying heavy furniture and boxes up and down stairs for 5+hours. We are very pleased and will definitely use these movers again! more

Last month we were moving from Annapolis to Severna Park so we had to find the reliable and licensed and insured moving service provider for our last minute move since I had to move for work and I only was given 2 days notice. Now my company gave me a list of preferred local movers in the area to chose from or I could pick my own but I had to pay a percentage if I chose the mover so I went through their given list and called 4 or 5 of moving companies for the moving rates and price quotes. The price quotes were scattered all over the place since they were via internet and phone so. I decided to try 2 local moving companies with very good reputations and asked their customer service offices for a free visual etimates. Both price quotes were similar weightwise but far from one another pricewise. One of them movers quoted me nearly $2500 for my weight and the other quoted me $2900 for almost the exact same weight and packing. I called and chose the movers based on reviews on this site and their Google rating and the fact that they were company approved and it was a paid relocation made the deal a done deal. 2 days later their driver Nick came with 2 other helpers Mike and Sean and they were exceptional. They packed everything wrapped it all up with care and loaded and were finished by the end of the day. I waited until the next day and recieved a call from Josh in their customer service department who was very nice and explained my revised price and I actually owed $200 less than I was quoted. That is the unbelievable part of the entire deal. I found a moving company that was honest enough to tell me my price went down $200. The sweetest part of the move was I requested a delivery 5 days after pick-up and they said they couldn't guarantee it and would do the best they could to accomodate my request. My guys actually showed up in the morning the day I requested. I could not have been more happy with the service I recieved from this company. At first I couldn't believe every positive review on this site was from real people, I now believe they are real because I am proof that there are still some companies out there that believe in honesty, integrity and customer service and satisfaction is the most important part of business. I will definitely recommend this company to colleagues and family members. Great fixed price, low rates, wonderful customer service and communication, personal care and friendly staff, what else do You need from the moving service providers? These guys definitely value their customers! more
