I've had my hair cut twice by the same person, she's nice, and cut my hair well but I both times I felt rushed at the end. I was told the first cut she would skip my scalp massage...

Animare in Newport News 8/23/2011

I have been going to this location for almost a year now, for hair, facials, massages, etc., and I have never had a bad experience. I have switched to all Aveda products. Although its rare, any time I've not be pleased with a product I have always been able to return it with out any issue and a replacement product is recommended. I have only been to the Hampton location once. I prefer Newport News because the atmosphere is more soothing, the girls are friendlier and it is extremely difficult to make a follow up appt via phone. more

Nicole is amazing! I've been seeing here for the last year and she is great. She is courteous, professional, great at what she does and you can tell she really enjoys it as well! I've recommended her to anyone interested in waxing or facials.....one of my friends has already gone to see her and she loved it. more

Always a treat! 8/7/2011

I had my hair cut and hi-lighted by Mel, and as always, she did a FABULOUS job! And she went above and beyond when I asked about makeup tips, by bringing me over to the makeup station afterwards to give me a mini-makeover, showing me how to apply and what colors would compliment my look. It's not the salon that makes the people it's the people that make the salon, and Mel really makes this place shine! more

Have been going to Suzanne for more than one year; when I first moved from much larger city was concerned with finding great hair stylist. When I finally found Animare all my expectations were met!! Nichole is also an amazing with facial, massage and body treatments. Both are highly experienced, knowledgeable and caring. I have tried many other high end salons in the area and would not go anywhere else. more

Erica gave just a great massage. I want to treat my husband when he comes back from Afghanistan by booking an appointment for him with her. The manicure and pedicure were also equally fantastic. Great atmosphere and everyone is so nice and friendly. more

I liked the shopping experience. Staff were helpful and friendly. However, I would still rather shop online because I would get free samples. Combined with free shipping and convenience of not leaving home, what's the point of going in the store? more

I have been going to Animare for over 3 years. I had damaged hair that is very fine and my color was a mess. Suzanne has worked with me on color and has perfected it! I wouldn't go anywhere else. So friendly and professional. more
