Editorial review from Citysearch 8/24/2012

This place and the staff is fantastic. I took my kitty in when he was having problems with his back. They walked me through every step of the exam and how much everything would cost up front. My kitty needed to stay overnight for his procedure, and Dr. Greer himself called me not once, but twice to give me updates and then again the next morning. They worked with me on helping determine what was the best plan of action on my budget (not always easy when $$ is tight!!) I am very pleased and will definitely make Dr. Greer my regular vet. more

Kind, Honest Vet 8/25/2010

I took my cat for an exam and vaccinations, and the vet and her staff were excellent. They informed me about the procedures, let me know beforehand how much everything would cost, and didn't do anything without asking me first. They also handled my cat with great care. Everyone who worked there was very polite, and they were able to answer all of my questions. Their prices were reasonable for the services they provided. I would recommend this facility to any petowner looking for a vet. more

Same thing happened to me 6/9/2010

They did the same thing to me. I went in for shots. They never told me that there was going to be an exam and all this other crap, nor did they tell me that I was going to be billed $220 for everything they did! I swear they would charge you for even writing stuff down about your pet if they could! I even tried to go back and get a refund for my second shots because the vet that worked on my cat refused to acknowledge my expectations and just did whatever the hell he wanted without my consent, but of course him and his vet tech got me in a room and through procedure at my face. And then he persisted to call me an idiot by waiving his degree in my face while telling me that the vaccines were necessary for a single indoor cat (even though the last time he said it was just recommended). Even when I explained the situation to him and after he claimed to be sharp on his notes about his patient's exams and the owner's needs, he still pretended to act like he didn't know what I was talking about. Its rude to treat your own client like a child and then rob them of whatever they have. Doctor, you're a pretentious wanabee elitist. Get your head out of your arse and learn that med school isn't the basis of life. The way you go about treating anyone with a complaint or anyone that you find inferior to your ""education"" is ridiculous and unethical. Pros: staff comes off as nice Cons: ...everything else more

This place came up when I was looking for a place to board my 3 dogs. They were relatively cheaper than other places, and they would accept proof of purchase for vaccines ( I vaccinate my dogs myself). The counter girl was very nice. The vet called me while I was away to tell me that one of my dogs had an ear infection and he was treating it, that another one needed hair pulled from her ears (really??) and that another needed a dental. When I picked my dogs up 6 nights later, my bill was TWICE as much as I had budgeted. $600!! Apparently, the vet examined my dogs (didn't ask him to), and charged me, bathed all of them (didn't ask), and charged me. ""It's our policy"" I was told, never in writing, and charged me around $20 a dog. Then charged me 15$ A DAY to treat my dog's ears (didn't ask him to) and around $80 for the medication. He then proceeded to try and sell me expensive science diet food and argued with me about the benefits! (anybody remember the recall?!) I feed Canidae, not cheap food. He also argued with me about the risk of anesthesia on my greyhound for the dental. She almost died once b/c of anesthesia...I know my own dog! All in all, a very unhappy experience. I tried to get out of there without paying the extra stuff, but my hubby was so fed up, he just handed over the card. And to top it off, all three of the dogs coughing and sneezing...and this has never happened before! So much for trying to save money on boarding, next time we will head back to animal barn. Pros: counter girl was pleasant Cons: unwanted treatments, now sick dogs more
