Animal Farm Discount Pet Foods

I have gone there several times and when I left with my purchases, I thought it was me. I would ask myself : ""What did I do to upset her? Try harder next time. Does she train her young grandson or what? The owner of the store is elitist, condescending and has no place in sales. Just because she owns the two stores doe not mean that she can be rude, mean and a total piece of work. I bought a large finch feeder two weeks ago. The sale was facilitated by a young man. The finches did not come for 2 weeks. I looked at my receipt and I did not purchase beds, liners or whatever was printed at the bottom of the receipt that clearly stated that they do not exchange or refund those. I purchased a finch feeder what was not feeding and did not get any redirect or instruction as to how I could get the feeder to work. She told me I bought bad seed. I felt like a high school student being absolutely berated and put down in front of my peers. I will never recommend anyone to go there to shop for their pets and I would rather drive to a place far to meet the needs of my pets. Shame, shame, shame. What a shondra. more

The service is absolutely terrible!! I have gone to this location a few times because I like the selection. However, the woman who owns this shop is incredibly RUDE! Each time I've gone there I have asked her a question about recalled pet foods or their coupon program and she always speaks to me in a very condescending way and with disrespect. She is also completely unhelpful. I even overhear her on the phone being rude to another customer who had called for a vet referral.\r \r This last weekend was the final straw! She yelled at my 2 year old son for touching a fuzzy cat toy! WHICH I was purchasing anyway. Then she told me that ""she doesn't allow children in the store"". My son is very well behaved and I was standing over him at the time. She was completely out of line to yell at my child!!! I think this store doesn't want Lesbian and Gay people and families to come into the shop. It's quite clear to me that they have a policy of discrimination. I will never shop here again! There are plenty of other good, local and honest shops around. Cons: Service is terrible!!!! more

I love Animal Farm, have been going there for years. They're very helpful, have an ongoing discount coupon program, and on top of their regular pet/animal companion store also have a next-door Wild Bird Annex full of wonderful products. I reluctantly shop at Pet Food Express and Petco every once in a while, but as big as they are they don't hold a candle to AF. AF is very discriminating about their selection, *and* has a large selection. more
