I have used ABC for a low-cost alternative to my regular veterinary clinic. WOW was I impressed! The staff was efficient for the volume of patients they have to check in / out for the surgeries and low-cost vaccination clinics. So if you can't afford to wait a 15-20 minutes then go somewhere else and pay more. The services were professional, the staff caring and I've had no complaints, except perhaps the wait. But what do you expect for that kind of savings? I think they do a fantastic job and help keep unwanted pets from being born, and offer fantastic prices on their vaccinations. Better than waiting in the jumble of going to a big-box pet store and waiting even longer, and not getting a free veterinary check-up with the vaccinations. more

What a great experience! I have had my animals to a few different clinics in town but the staff and doctors at Animal Birth Control are awesome! My dogs are like my children so I look for a place that makes me and my dogs feel comfortable. The staff is always very helpful and so eager to please. The doctors will take the time to explain things in terms that I understand. I have been taking my pets to this clinic that past 2 years and will never use another clinic for my pets care again. I am so pleased that I often tell my family and friends. Like I said I have used other clinics in the past but ABC reall cares about you and your animals. The prices are out of this world, no where else could you get the type of caring staff or doctors that you will get her! Thanks ABC for being a great place to take our pets! more

After reading the reviews, it is clear to me that this place was once a good business in Tucson, but not anymore!!! Some of the worst customer service I have ever witnessed or experienced! The owner, Shane (female) is a real piece of work to boot! When I called her, she blamed my wife and myself for all of her problems! What a joke!!! Go anywhere else! Avoid at all costs, they don't care!!! Instead of giving my puppy shots, they ran me off because they didn't have time. Optionally, I could wait endlessly and 'see' if they could squeeze me in! No thanks. Shane pretended like she cared in the beginning, but then quickly changed her story! She is rude and it is clear that her staffs lousy attitudes stem from her lousy attitude!!! more

I have to strongly disagree. I have been using ABC since I moved to Tucson 4 years ago. I have taken my animal in to both clinics and have always been greeted with a smiling face. I recently had my dog spayed at the clinic on Craycroft and had a great experience. The place was busy when I walked in but was still greeted with a smile. I had a lot of questions due to this was my first female dog but the young lady at the desk was able to answer all my questions and make me feel comfortable leaving my precious dog Princess in there care. I called later that morning to check on her and again was treat with the best customer service. Later that afternoon when I came to pick Princess up, I brought my dog Chance to get his shots. They were very busy but friendly and very organized. I have been to other places that have had shot clinics and was never impressed but with ABC the place is always clean, smells great and have great employees that truly care about me and my animals. The prices are great but what keeps me coming back is that staff and doctors! more

I have gone to ABC shot clinic because of the cheap shots. When it comes to customer service they shouldn't even be allowed to get a star. Every time I go in, I always manage to get the same person that is having a really,really,really bad day. My last incident was the last time I was going. Just for the basics. The wait time is pretty long. I am usually waiting for more than an hour and they are just your basic shots. When I have asked a question about the reminders that they say they give, the women told me to stop wasting her time and she was very busy. You can sure bet I was upset. When I tried to complain about this women's service I got the run around. I was so upset with the service and attitude of the front staff that they are just not worth going to anymore.On the plus side it is cheap. But I am more likely going to go to a regular vet office to get shots. Plus a vet office will actually look at my pet and not just rush it. more

The office staff will lie to you to get you to buy products. When I inquired about a microchip, the receptionist said it came with a lifetime membership. After they had already put the microchip in my dog, I found out that I would have to pay a fee every year to maintain the microchip. I contacted ABC and they told me they put the wrong microchip in my dog. I asked to be reimbursed for what I paid and they refused. Their solution was to put my dog out, take out the wrong microchip and put in the new one. Anyone who loves their pet would not allow this to happen. I now have to sue them in small claims court to get reimbursed. Next time I will go to the Humane Society. more

I have taken at least 30 cats to be spayed, neutered and get shots at ABC East. Not only are the employees awesome human beings for doing what they do, they have remarkable composure and compassion, which I have rarely seen sour, no matter how many animals they have served that day! Yes, there are lines, especially for shots. Why? Because this is an incredible SERVICE! So many animals would not be vaccinated and neutered if it wasn't for the incredible caring of Dr. Day and her staff. If you require the world to stop around you, then I'm sure you can afford to pay 5 or 6 times the clinic costs for these needs. I rescue cats, over 400 in the last 20 years. I have them spayed or neutered, get or give them their shots, and find a human being willing to be responsible for that cat. If not for pioneers like Dr. Day and others, there would be a lot more cold, hungry, angry, diseased, hurt and terrified of human beings felines on the streets, alleys and yards of Tucson. You guys keep up the great work ethic, the great attitude and please forgive and/or ignore the ignorance of those who have said ugly things. Their opinions tell us more about the type of human they are than about the service. more

I have to say that i strongly DISAGREE with the last review. I have had several animals that I have brought into both ABC clinic and have been more than satisfied with their service. Yes they are a busy clinic but that shows that they are providing excellent service and great customer service. I have actually had one on one conversations with the so called rude manager Tammy, and had just the opposite experience, she was very professional and even though she was very busy she took the time to explain all of my dogs surgery instructions and told me to call if I had any questions at all!! She is very knowledgable about the business and animals. She directed staff and was still able to smile and greet the customers. ABC has always provided me and my pets with excellent care. They have a professional and wonderful staff. I would recommend ABC for everyone!!!!! more

I would not recommend this company to anyone!! the staff is rude the mangement is even WORSE!!! the employees pulled the wrong charts!! and vacinated my dogs with shots they did NOT need the techs did not verify the info on the file with my pets info!! the manager TAMMY was rude and giving me dirty looks i also heard them laughing at me in a office i heard staff cursing and obviously rushed!!! This was the worst experience i have ever had DO NOT take your pets here ...i would not let my doctor treat me this way and handle paperwork unprofessionally so why would i let a vet's office do it to my dogs!! more

I just moved to Tucson from California , i have two Rat Terriers that just needed shots. I brought my dogs medical records for both in, i had even arrived early so the front staff would help me figure out the vet ""speak"" in my dogs medical records to see what shots were needed. i arrived 15-20 minutes early before the 2:00pm shot clinic opens up. \r OMG there was a line out the door when i got there. i finally get to the counter andi had explained to both of the desk clerks that i needed some help with the records and the gal handed me a clip board with 2 forms and said fill each one out for each dog bring'em back up. I thought her demeanor to be very rushed and short with me. She first gave me the wrong forms and then after filling out the extensive forms and standing back in line, i asked her again if she could help me out like she said she would to decipher the Vet wording in my records. She then proceeded to yell at me "" I don't have time to look at records , i Haven't even gotten a chance to pull any of these other files out ! Just circle what they need and we will give it to them. "" i then asked her if it was allways this busy and she replied ""YES IT""S ALLWAYS THIS BUSY "" Any place thats is that busy that they can't take the time to actually see if the animals need a particular shot or to even take a 5 minute look at a medical record, is not a place for me. Even if the shots were free!!! Spend a little more or look for another low cost clinic , don't take a chance of your pets getting shots they don't need or worse missing the shots they do need! ABC has been wonderful each time I have visited the clinic. They offer low cost shots which are terriffic on your pocket book as well as nueturing your pets at a discounted cost. The office staff were very friendly, they called me to give me an update on my dog after his surgery. I would take my pets back there for any medical needs they have. more
