THIS COMPANY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND DISAPPEAR!!! 6/11/2009

I called this company and they came out to look at my applicance. We gave them $400 in cash and they said they would get back to me. They never did. The first time I called they said the tech was working with the fire dept. and it would be a while, they never called back. I had to keep calling back and they said, oh yeah...we have you down for tomorrow at noon. When noon rolled around, no tech. I called they said he was on his way but stuck in traffic. They will not pick up now and have my money. SCAMMERS!!! STAY AWAY!!!!!! more

The most dishonest repair company ever! 7/13/2007

Amy's Appliance Repair took $250 as a downpayment on a washing machine repair and never completed the job! Afterwards, they cancelled appointments or did not show up. I have never heard such lame excuses for not completing a job. When I finally could get a technician to come out, they never were sure of the problem and continued to ""rediagnose"" the defect. I had 5 different appointments and 4 different techs, each of whom did not know what the other had done. Needless to say, the I have been without a washer for 6 weeks and I can not get my money back. They are very nasty and difficult to deal with! STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS SCAM OF A BUSINESS!!!! more

From my experience, the dispatchers do not communicate well. Despite scheduling specific times & windows, I had to follow up several times with a call to the office asking ""where are the technicians?"" The last call was about their replacing a defective part that they had installed & charged me for. While I did schedule time, apparently their office & technician did not bother to ring me to let me know about the delay. Considering that I had already paid for the work, and this was a re-do of their previous work, I took issue with the lack of communication with me regarding setting up firm times. The company seems to have a laissez-faire attitude & regard toward their clients' time. Suggest you ask the dispatcher to connect you directly with their technicians regarding times/arrivals if you engage this company. Do not reply on their dispatchers at all for this info. Pros: Technicians are nice & honest Cons: Office does not communicate times or follow up regarding snafus well. Poor communication for a service company. more
