After making an appointment online 4 weeks prior, I was notified at 4:50PM the night before by email that my appointment was cancelled, without explanation, and that the next available appointment was 5 weeks away. This was after my wife and I had been receiving dental care here for the last few years! The dental care is good, but I prefer to go to a dentist who cares about his/her patients more and doesn't run a practice like a money-making machine. more

I had my permanent teeth by the time I was five, and within a year I fell face-first over my bike and broke them both in half. Ever since that day, I've had to return to the dentist repeatedly to replace these teeth. After a recommendation from a co-worker, I went to Ben Amini at Citident to have these crowns replaced. My teeth has never looked BETTER!!! These teeth are so comfortable and match the rest of my teeth perfectly! On top of that the office is great, everyone is in a great mood; ALL the time. My favorite part of visiting Citident is listening to ""Liquid Metal"" on XM radio while getting my teeth fixed. If you live in San Francisco, and have teeth, there is no reason NOT to go to Citident. Pros: EVERYTHING!!! I have been seeing Dr. Amini for a little over 3 years. I always have a positive experience with him and his office staff. Recently, I had a 10 year old crown replaced. I WAS AMAZED AT THE DIFFERENCE IN QUALITY between the two crowns. The first one was to big and didn't match the other front tooth. It stood out and was quite noticeable. Dr. Amini, not only matched the size perfectly, he sent me to the lab so that they could customize the match and make the tooth look exactly as the other front tooth. I've never been happier. People have already noticed the change. I would recommend Dr. Amini and his practice to anyone who wants high quality work done at an affordable price and demands great customer service. This is the best dentist I have ever been to. They are always on time, efficient, thorough and friendly. They also the time to check your insurance coverage before performing extra services and let you know the cost so there are no surprises. This dentist also uses the best technology. more

Dr Amini is one of the best dentists in the Bay Area. I always had problems with my teeth in the past. I just wasn?t borne with strong teeth. Unfortunately on the top of that I went through some dentists that were nothing but butchers that did a horrible work in my mouth that needed to be replaced in a matter of months. I?m talking about bridges and crowns that had to be replaced up to 3 times at my own expense. I?m talking about thousands of dollars. I get irritated just by writing about it because it all came out of my pocket because I didn?t have dental insurance. Then 10 years ago I met Dr. Amini. He?s been my dentist ever since. He is not only one of the nicest guy you ever meet but one of the best dentists as well. He has a very high tech office. Great location right off Bart or Muni. The office is clean, cozy and you can even access the internet while you wait to get numb. His staff is professional and friendly. They have a little camera that takes picture of your tooth and you can see on a screen. Dr. Amini tells you exactly what?s going on pointing to the image, your options and gives you the best advices. He is a Virgo with extremely attention to detail. The work he does is beautiful and he will match the fillings exactly with the color of your tooth. I was very much amazed how painless and hazzle free visits to dentist can be. Other Dentists can learn a lot from Dr Amini. I actually found the process from my initial phone call to my actual visits to his dental office extra-ordinarily pleasant. He is extremely knowlegeable, very personable, and goes out of his way in providing extra service. My opiniion of him and his practice is based on several visits to his office. I am usually reluctant in refering friends and family to any practiioner, but in Dr. Amini's case, I have eargerly refered friends, family and my adult son to him. It was a joy to have discovered his dental practice and without any question my search for a GREAT dentist is over. more

I found this office online based on the recommendations and great reviews. Everything from making the appointment to my experience during my visit and examination was a five star quality. Everyone there is very nice and Dr. Amini is really nice and professional and informative. The office is very impressive with the latest technology in dentistry. I was very comfortable and did not feel any pressure from the treatment manager/coordinator, unlike some other reviews here. I am very glad to find this dentist because it's not my most favorite thing in the world, but these guys actually made it fun. Dr. Amini has been my dentist since 1998, when he was practicing on Sutter Street. When he opened his practice in 2001on Battery Street, I followed him because he has changed my entire perception about going to the dentist. I was frightened of dentists and did not go to one regularly for most of my college years and professional life. I was a major project and he gently and proficiently fixed my teeth and took away all my anxiety and guilt that I was carrying over the years from not going to the dentist. Thank you Dr. Amini. more

I must admit this was the best dentist experience I have had in my life. Dr. Amini was recommended by our HR person. They got my insurance break down before my first appointment and when I showed up they had everything ready. The office is very high-tech and clean. The before/after photo album of the patients that were treated by Dr. Amini shows some of the cosmetic procedures he does, and they look amazing. I was surprised how unethical this place was. I had asked if my first appt. would include a cleaning and was told, ""Yes"" by the front desk. Instead of getting the standard cleaning, I was forced to hear about how I should get all sorts of pricey procedures. When I asked about the cleaning they told me they had run out of time and never do cleanings for the 1st appt. Essentially the front desk lied. During my cleaning appt, I was given the same sales pitch again. When I declined to sign up for the procedures, I was given the fastest teeth cleaning ever, w/o even a check up. It was appalling. Dr. Amini and his staff made me feel very comfortable from the moment I called to make an appointment to the examination and procedures. He is extremely thorough and explains everything along the way, and his staff is very friendly and put me at ease. My billing and insurance were explained to me by the manager in great detail with patience. The hightech and top of the line equipment assured me that Dr. Amini is concerned with his patients receiving the best examination and dental work possible. I made an appointment for an exam and teeth cleaning. I received my exam but they wouldn't clean my teeth, even though they polished my teeth. I challenged the fact that I believed having my teeth polished without a cleaning seemed backwards. They informed me that I would receive a teeth cleaning on my next visit.
