This company is the worst company that ive ever had to deal with.they always try to take my payment before my scheduled due date then after they couldnt get it they tried to send it to a collections dept. And now that ive paid off my account now theyre trying tostick me with another account that they have no authorization for from me.I recommend that everybody stay away from this company ,or youll regret it because I wish I had NEVER opened an account with them from the start. This company have tried for months to charge my card, however since it is prepaid they aren't getting any money from it. Howerver they never sent the promised package that you look through and sign you agree with what they are offering. Also they have never mailed out the product they are charging for. I am aware that they could not be mailing the magazine due to nonpayment but that does not explain why they never sent the packet in the snail mail for me to agree to and sign before they keep trying to charge my credit card. very iffy company to work with. please read these warnings be fore your sucked into this scam. i had got a call from the american reading club and ordered a few magazines. a couple weeks later they called to confirm my order and i had cancelled the order instead . they are now charging my debit card for $155.00 a month which i cannot afford . i have tried to call them and no-one seems to know what is going on . i would not ever recamend anyone to order from them. they are rip-offs. i have yet to recieve any of the magazines that they keep charging me for more

I agreed to a subscription of a couple of magazines. But, then work slowed way down. I knew I had to cut back on the extras. I called ARC within a week and canceled. When they started billing my card and sending me bills but no magazines, I called again to make sure they understood I had canceled. They wouldn't give me their name, the supervisor threatened me with an attorney and she refused to give her name and hung up on me. They have billed my card 3 times. I had to finally stop the card altogether. Then they call and try to threaten me. They harass me constantly. And you know with my profession I cannot be doing my construction trade and speaking with these idiots who don't understand what 'Do Not Call' means. They have contacted me at least 15 times since I told them, 'put me on your 'do not call' list', Don't they owe me money for each infraction? When the magazines started coming, I wrote return to sender, you know my brother- in- law is a mail man and he told me they just chuck that stuff in the trash. So. I cannot give this company even 1 star. They are in the negative. I will pay news stand price from now on. And will NOT recommend them to anyone. Pros: when you do finally get the magazines after about 8 weeks. That is 'if' you ordered them, they are the Magazines you ordered. Cons: There customer service, supervisors, sales staff, the ones I dealt with, are liers. more
