Please think twice before doing business with this outfit. I should have been tipped off when my initial call to them was disconnected three times. I made an appointment to have my malfunctioning washing machine looked at. I was given a time and date, and made arrangements to be at home. The repair person diagnosed the problem within minutes. I had given a description of the problem over the phone, so I imagine that the company had formed a pretty good opinion as to what was wrong beforehand. Anyway, the estimate to repair was high enough to make purchasing a new machine a better option. What I resented was having to pay a $69.95 ""service fee"" for the diagnosis. I had never been told when I called about this policy. Had I been, I could have done some research on-line and figured things out for myself. The repairman was understanding, but had no authority to waive the fee. He suggested that I call the office, which I did. The man who answered the phone was rude and unwaivering. He conceded that I should have been told of the policy, but they had probably been ""too busy"" to do so at the time. I could have refused to write a check and have them take me to small claims court where I think the lack of notice would defeat their claim. Instead, I decided to pay them the money, and never to do business with them again. A very unpleasant experience.
