Much appreciated each contact with American Heating - the owner, the front desk staff, and the technician. Questions answered in a forthright manner regarding typical life of a furnace, manufacturer's warranties, reasonable approaches for the short- and long-term decisions. After these initial positive contacts, we decided to become members. When the HVAC Technician came for the annual tune up, he took the time to explain the conditions carefully and what options would be sensible. American Air did my furnace and air conditioning, and they're a 5+. I'm a tough customer, and Jim has blown me away with how direct, down to earth, and honest he is. There is no fluff sales pushes with him, he's just genuine and extremely professional. He told me all my options, and he was never out for the buck, he was always out for what would get the job done. He was always very punctual about returning calls, and he reached out to use when we had forgotten to get back to him. He wasn't meddlesome about it either, just very professional. When Jim had his worker Devon come out, he was just second to none! Again, he was professional, thorough, timely, and I would be thrilled to recommend him. I was delighted that they were not looking to take advantage of me, as I'm very much in the grey when it comes to these kinds of things, and yet they gave me the whole score and made it very easy and straightforward. more

I would rate American Air a little bit higher than a 5. I easily would recommend them. In fact, the last time I talked with Jim I told him that he needed to use me for a reference because I would recommend them easily. Without boring you silly here, I had moved into a new house about this time last yeas, and it had a number of design problems. In other words, when they put in the heat and ventilation system, the ductwork was wrong, and a lot of other things I could see as well. I called about four companies that represented major factories and asked them about recommendations and quotes, but most of them wanted to sell me some stuff. A couple, including Jim, tole me that just selling me something was going to do it, that other things needed to be fixed, such as the ductwork, like I figured. After talking with Jim, I decided American Air was the one to go with, and he was just the tip of the iceberg. Jason and the other are really good people too. The people who were out here to do the work and supervise were also equally as impressive as Jim. They were clean, tidy, and on time, which are all the things you almost never get with companies in that kind of business. The long and short of it was they redid the ductwork, and I bought their equipment. Honestly, they did everything satisfactorily, and that pretty much solved all my problems. more
