I live in the neighborhood and have watched with interest the patio being remodeled. We decided to try it out on a perfect summer night, but it turned out to be not so perfect. We eat out 3-5 times a week in town, are open to trying new restaurants, but after tonight, are reminded why we go to our old favorites. The hostess handed us menus over the counter and told us to seat ourselves on the patio. No problem. Our first warning should have been the un-bussed tables next to us and empty drinks at other tables. But everyone seemed happy. After waiting for 15 minutes and not being greeted, or even seeing a server, we went back in and asked if we could sit in the bar instead. Bigger mistake. It took just as long for another server to acknowledge us. Granted, we did sit at a dirty table, and she seemed to think we just needed our check, which was understandable. We waited for 20 minutes for our ordered drink to be delivered and for her to take our order. When she finally stopped at our table, we asked about a menu item, she said I don't know, I'll have to send the other server over, and I said ""no!"", I want to place our order now, while we have you at the table. We heard her say to the man next to us, I'm going to go check on your pie, she came out of the kitchen carrying it, but he took one bite and walked out!! We're not sure why, if he was so irritated at waiting a long time, the lack of service, or if the pizza didn't taste good. Our food arrived in a timely manner, but we did have to send our pasta back. It did taste good, but it was barely warm. Our pizza had the perfect thickness of crust, but wasn't worth a repeat visit with so many restaurants to choose from in town. We overheard our server saying something to the bartender about us, but when she saw we were watching her, she stopped. Unfortunately we won't be back to this convenient neighborhood location.
Pros: Remodeled Patio
Cons: Lack of Service
