I have to rave about this drink so that everyone understands its perfection. The coconut mojito at Amalfi's is the best one I have ever had, and I consider myself a coconut mojito aficionado. It is sweet but not too sweet, there is a large amount of fresh mint leaves (not a sparse amount like some places) and they even put shredded coconut on top. It was also pretty darn strong - I could only have one on a mostly empty stomach because it works its magic quickly, but it didn't taste that strong. Wow.
I came here last night with some of my friends for happy hour. I wasn't hungry, but then everyone started ordering shrimp scampi and foccassia bread with marinara sauce, and...I had to try it. It was really good - they know how to use garlic in the scampi! Yum yum!
A lot of their other drinks are named after funny movie quotes, which is a fun conversation starter...and they are reasonably priced.
Next time it is hot, I am going to plant myself on the outdoor patio by the fire pit and order another coconut mojito...or maybe I'll branch out next time... :)
