Try the Pepperoni pizza 12/6/2010

I don't usually order pepperoni pizza it's too common. But they have it available by the slice. It is about the best you'll find anywhere. Thin and delicious. Better than many others I've tried. The calzone is a meal for two. Fantastic. more

The most incredible italian food! 12/21/2006

I was first introduced to Al's Cafe at my company Christmas party. He was our carter for the party and I have to say I was sooo impressed. I couldn't get enough of his food. It wasn't only me, every person at the party kept going back for seconds, even thirds. It may be a small establishment, something that the people of Orange County aren't necessarily used to, but give it once chance, and I garuantee, you'll be hooked! I eat there at least 2 times a week. more

Nasty service 5/8/2006

I am an individual involved in a large group delivery order from Al's on a bi-monthly basis. However, more recently, their delivery service has gone down the drain. The young lady who first took our order spoke too fast. And then in order to use multiple coupons, we had to place 2 orders, so I made the second call and spoke with Al. He could not have been any more rude, he told me he was ""losing money on people using the coupons"" and that ""we had better have the correct change ready for the delivery person this time or they won't deliver to us again."" Who cares that we didn't have the proper change because his delivery guy didn't have any change to give us! Well, Al, no worries, because we won't be ordering again...and yes, you are losing money because you won't be getting ours anymore. more

Classic, awesome NY-style pizzeria 5/2/2005

The best NY-style pizza (thin crust, large slices) and it's pretty cheap too. I love being back in NY and just grabbing a slice here and there and Al's is the only pizza place I've been too around here that actually tastes like pizza that you got at Ray's or some other pizzeria in New York City. I also like the pastas here which are pretty cheap and large portions (and come with a salad and garlic bread). Great take-out dinner or quick lunch. Pros: NY-style, thin crust, big, tasty slices, inexpensive!! Cons: Limited tables, limited decor, better for takeout more

Awesome 12/23/2004

Everything at Al's is tasty. The Al's special pizza is the best. Good sandwiches and pasta too. Been eating there for over 10 years! Not really a place you eat at, but good for take out or delivery. more

Closest to NYC on the West Coast 8/3/2004

Al's has about the closest to real New York style Pizza on the west coast and it is absolutely delicious. The Lasagna is great too! Very informal atmosphere and comfortable. Pros: Great Pizza, Friendly Service more
