Please do not take any item you care about here. I brought a beautiful, very expensive designer dress I had purchased at NYC boutique Intermix to be cleaned because it had a barely noticeable wine mark near the hem. As a precaution, when I dropped it off, I told the girl that I would rather live with the wine mark then sacrifice the rest of the dress and I told her to please tell me if she thought she could not clean it properly. She assured me that it would be fine and since Alpians SEEMED to have a great reputation, I tried to have a little faith. However, when I got the dress back, the red part of the print had discolored into the white part of the dress. The entire dress, which was supposed to have a white base--was now tinted PINK and RUINED! The manager did not even offer to pay for the ruined item and proceeded only to rudely belittle the quality of the dress in an attempt to avoid the issue. When I asked what could be done about Alpians mistake, the manager replied, ""NOTHING."" She claimed that the dress had ""a bad manufacturer,""""that the ""ink was defective,"" and that Alpian's has cleaned ""items much more expensive and they have all been fine."" (Intermix brands are NOT at all cheap as any shopper knows.) I was appalled! She refused to take any responsibility whatsoever and walked away after calling me ""ridiculous"" for even thinking that a dry cleaner would pay for such a thing.
Pros: they call you if they are late on an item and need to stall
Cons: horrible customer service, rude manager, ruins clothes
