the property above the don coqui restaurant is TERRIBLE! a few weeks ago, someone was stabbed on the sidewalk (and was armed with a gun-according to the news)!! i watched a man choke a woman in the street, after stumbling out of the club- while all of the bouncers and other men just watched and did NOTHING! the noise from the club is so loud that it keeps us awake until 4am wed-saturday. last night someone from the club was loitering in between our entry doors and threw up EVERYWHERE! calls to the super as well as the club have done NOTHING to get it clean (24 hours later). today, a valet from the club was doing his personal laundry in our laundry room. there are regularly highly intoxicated people loitering in between our entry doors- to have a quieter place to make a call or get out of the weather. there is ALWAYS trash and broken glass everywhere. there have been several really crazy (young) valet guys doing dangerous stuff with the cars (speeding, blowing through red lights, i saw one LITERALLY barely miss hitting a stroller in the crosswalk while speeding through a red light.) recently, they've also opened a ""pain clinic"" on the second floor of our building, so during the day, we have a parade of drug seeking folks loitering outside. the apartments themselves are pretty uncomfortable also. they have hot water heat, and it's always ridiculously hot- regardless of the season. there is pretty terrible ventilation. i constantly smell both cigarette and marijuana smoke inside my place coming from the neighbors place. my bathroom has a distinct smell of mold. the tap water here is also undrinkable. i'm not sure what is up with the pipes. i have an electrical problem in my apartment (that has yet to be addressed, even though i reported it months ago). i have to replace lightbulbs every few days. it's all really unpleasant. i am counting down the days until my lease is over. more

There is a nightclub below the apartment that moved in after I did. O where to start. There is an arrest every other week in front of this nightclub (Don Coque). There are stabbings, women being choked, and there is no action by management to solve it. I am not even getting into the noise this will have on your everyday life. It is clearly above any acceptable limits. Some patrons of said establishment puked in our doorway. One day later, it is not cleaned. We all love rolling our childrens stroller through pukeland. The clubs workers use the very limited laundry facilities they claim to have that are inadequate. Alma is responsive to maintenance. In short, they suck it! more

Alma realty is an unprofessional organization. They were rude and rushed us through the apartment search process. They were just interested in their commission and acted like we were a burden on them. We will never rent and Alma owned property. We have rented with other property companies, and Alma was by far the WORST. STAY AWAY! After I had this experience I spoke with a friend who used to live at and Alma property. She told me that the terrible service continued, they were constantly rude, failed to fix simple maintenance issues and made rent payment and other simple services an absolute pain. more

This is the most unprofessional business open in the united states of america with no exageration. I wouldn't recommend anyone to rent from these people. The customer service is very poor. When u call this place all you get is attitude...as if they are annoyed to hear your voice. God forbid you need work done in your apartment...they will send an entire mob to your apt to inspect and that same mob will go talk about your apartment to other neighbors. The super of the building thinks he's an executive. You can not call him for anything... I think he even might be illegal in this country. He lies in the basement and he uses the backyard to let lose a damn rooster and a dog that barks more than any dog ive ever known. If you go to him with a problem... he tells you to call the office so that they can call him with the order and by the time that happens you will be buried in a flood. He is a disgusting person with an awful attitude but then again he was hired by ALMA REALTY. What can we expect.... just don't rent from them!! more
