Don't ever try to cancel. It's much too long to write out, but sufficed to say, I have never in my life been treated the way I was by John on the phone. It turned into a full blown argument, as he refused to cancel the policy, while giving me a third degree and being as condescending as can be. I finally asked if I had to get the BBB and a lawyer just to cancel, and he actually said, ""Yes. Yes you should do that."" I was a customer for many years, never had a claim, but also never these discounts I hear about. I shudder to think what he'd do if you had a claim. AVOID this agent. Allstate corporate itself was very helpful. Because you bet I went over his head and reported him. They cancelled, apologized, refunded some money, and followed up with me. So...again, avoid this agent, but perhaps others are all right. Oh, and I nearly forgot. He also HUNG UP ON ME. I was speechless for a good part of this call, as I was dumbfounded by his ""people skills.""
